Maybe they should ask them how many men they have had sexual CONTACT with (oral, vaginal, anal, or manual stimulation). I would be willing to bet that women would fess up to no more than 20-30% of their actual number.

Studies that rely on the honesty of women when it comes to something they might be held accountable for or shamed for are completely and utterly worthless.

I could go out and study lesbians and say that 95% of women have same sex contact. doesn't make it true

1 and 10 doesn't sound so wrong. all of my female friends are not at all attracted to other women. My gf has never even had a fantasy about women

but that number is still not 100% correct. that question is really vague anyway

I hate to be the one to point this out, but this is one of the biggest things that is wrong with men today. In one breath you are talking about how stats are skewed unless the women are "perfectly honest", but then you talk about your female friends, you state that they "are not attracted to other women", and when you mention your g/f you state that she has "never had a fantasy about women".

Incidentally, my last LTR was perfectly straight and always said she wasn't into women, until one day she fessed up that she let a chick finger her one time.

do I know if my gf is being perfectly honest? no. will i ever? probably, probably not.

you will never know with people. that's why i made the example of my friends. all i have is their word to go on, which could or could not be true.

but while they say that they are not gay, that's what i will believe until they have given me reason to believe other wise

There's a "percent error" when surveying consumers about the type of coffee they buy. A woman's sexuality is an entirely different beast. Chicks will lie to their mom, their priest, and their best friends about their sexual history, and actually believe themselves half the time. You honestly think they are going to tell the truth in a survey?

We aren't debating what constitutes sexual orientation.

I guarantee you that the actual number of women who have had "sexual contact" with another woman (which is what we are talking about here) is higher than 10%.

I base this on candid conversations I have had with women from all walks of life. When they find out that I am not judgmental they open up and tell me sh!t they wouldn't share with anyone else. Most of the time they start out vehemently denying having any sort of attraction for other women, let alone having had sexual contact with any, then when they realize that I'm not going to chastise them, they say "Well, there WAS this one time....."

It would be interesting to have more information about that quiz; i.e. the average age of participants and the location of participants, although especially the average age of participants.

Most of the numbers make sense ... if you're surveying women of all ages. If you change that to women under 30, you'd get entirely different numbers. For example, the average age to lose one's virginity would have been earlier than 17.

There is no way most women lose their virginity at 17. I think its closer to 15 these days. As for only 10% having same sex contact? What a crock of ****. I reckon its closer to 25%-30%

The thing is that a womans definition of what is sexual and what is not sexual influences her answer. Hell, they manipulate their own definition to give them the result they want. You are talking about emotional creatures who act emotionally and then rationalise their decisions/actions AFTER they have acted.

For some women they would only consider sexual contact full blown strap on ****ing. Some would consider oral sex as the entry point. A lot would deny that kissing is really sexual and all they were doing was "having fun"

I am in agreement with Str8up. You cannot and will not ever get an accurate answer from these surveys. Not unless they were done off a lie detector test.

The people who can get a sex survey done using lie detector tests will shatter our societies ideas and concepts of sexuality. There is no doubt men exaggerate and there is no doubt that women lie outright.

Thats because you are 18. Why does this matter?

1) Because when men cheat it is broadcast to the world. They are shamed for it and its mentioned because it results in higher divorce settlements. Your exposure has been limited to media and your own personal relationships with older people. Trust me, your older male relatives are not going to be talking about women cheating on them as much as women are going to be talking about men cheating on them. Its a different social dynamic

2) As you get older, your opportunities with more married and attached women will grow. You will come to realise that women cheat just as much, if not more then most men do. Women branch swing more then men do which means that there are few women who have not already started sleeping with another man before they leave the one they are with. Women dont consider this cheating because in her mind she will often convince herself that the relationship was over anyway

3) As you get older, you will also have many of your friends start to admit that they caught their wives/gf's cheating.

Age plays a factor in your perception. As does a biased media that has convinced you men cheat more and women who perpetuate this myth because they wish it were true.

Heh, this is especially true. No man wants to admit his wife/partner is cheating because there is great shame attached to it, as if he isn't manly enough for her, but on the other hand, women are always b!tching about men's faults, especially cheating.

If you're a man and you cheat, pretty much everyone will know about it soon enough. If you're a woman and you cheat, only you, the person you cheated with and maybe your partner will know about it. And that's why there is the myth that men cheat more than women.
