Now wait a minute, isn't this like the band that used to be real feminist? Maybe their last album was dedicated to the scrubs, jerks, and good for nothings, and this one was dedicated to the real men, as far as lyrics. Either way, I like it a lot. It's pop culture telling women that it's okay to be a GOOD woman in the relationship, and hopefully chicks listen to this.

Ha, this has GOT to fry the asses of feminists everywhere.

I don't know man, chicks like this tend to be obsessive with questionable self esteem so the smother you to prove themselves. You know the type, wanting to talk to you several times a day, want to know what you are doing when you aren't with them, always asking if you love them... Too much upkeep.

welcome to my world
yeah, i heard that song a while ago, cater 2 u.

but then again, you gotta realized, we're talking mainstream music, so they just want to make money. at the moment, this must be what sells; a while back it was all about independent women. i can't even remember when the last time was that i actually listened to the radio, mainly because mainstream / commercial music is crap for the most part.

but yeah, i like that song.

But wouldn't you WANT to marry a woman who is "obsessed" with keeping you happy, rather than an independent woman who could care less? For the most part, the type of chick like this who is utterly devoted to you being of "low self esteem" is a feminist myth - it's more an issue of humility. Humility is not thinking less of yourself - it's thinking of yourself less.

Maybe if you don't plan to spend your life with this woman, you would go for a more independent woman, but what makes a good wife and what makes a good girlfriend are two different things.

They tend to be less naggy as well than the selfish chicks, and I'd attribute their worries to just being worried about you. And wouldn't you want to spend your life with a chick who cares about you that much?

Destiny's child called feminist:confused:

I know they've come out with songs like independent women, but isnt that what we want "the clothes that I've got, I bought at, the car that i drive i bought, the house i live in, i bought, to all my ladies that's independent...............

I', finding that most men fear independent women, we need to feel needed and ****. I dont see how that songs contradicts their over all theme, taking care of themselves, but still needing a man on an emotional level.........

Men frequently err by talking too much. They often monopolize conversations, droning on and on about topics that bore women to tears. They think they're impressing the women when, in reality, they're depressing the women.

Are you forgetting that those old lyrics are the kind of thing feminism was INVENTED for? You know what a woman who takes pride in the money she makes, the clothes she's got, the car she bought, the house she bought, is? A business partner. Not a girlfriend, and especially not a wife. Career chicks =/= relationship chicks.

I can agree that corporate women make awful GF's and Wives, but at the same time, I dont want a women who is totally dependent on me. I appreciate hard work, where ever it comes from, whom ever it comes from. If she can make a buck and her own things, go girl. I think a women who has her own ****, but is also a WOMEN, has to be a winner. If she can give me all the attention I desire plus make money, she's a keeper.

With all that said, my idea wife would be a n elementary school teacher.

I have seen these girls (DC) in person without all the glitz and glamour, and let me tell you it is a shocking sight to see!

Beyonce is hit in real life. I use to think this girl was hot, until i stood right beside her wearing no makeup and without her wig or hair extensions. She's not real tall and her legs are like tree trunks (kankle city) :D

I'm telling you guys, Hollywood is all smoke and mirrors!

BTW i met them in Miami, Florida!

Nope, I'm perfectly happy on my own and I would share that happiness with the right woman. I don't want nor need a woman in my life to exist for solely my needs, wouldn't that be a form a slavery anyway? She needs to be happy on her own and capable of sharing her own happiness.

There's a quote from the novel Atlas Shrugged that states this perfectly; "I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine."

Live purposely by your own means, and you will stand above most men. Just something to consider.

Well I'm here to tell you there is such a magic wand. Something that will make you almost completely irresistible to any woman you "point it" at. Something guaranteed to fill your life with love, romance, and excitement.

Erm, no. You take care of her with what you do outside the home, and she takes care of you with what she does inside the home. Seems like a perfectly fair trade to me.

I think that expecting a wife to work a full time job AND do all that is a bit much. If she is taking care of you inside the home and also working full time, she is going to get burnt out. Dual income marriages are the fast track to divorce.

Not quite. I have 7 aunts and uncles all who are in dual income households, 2 of the seven are widowed, the rest of them have been married for 25 plus years, not one divorce not one separation.

I think leaving a women at home day after day for the entire course of a marriage is recipe for boredom and screwing the mail man. I can understand that mothers need to raise their own children, but how long does a child need a mother sitting at home everyday??? Do middle and high school children need a mommy at home after school to make them a snack?? Think leaving a women in the home with nothing to do is a form of slavery....... Chores and cooking dinner doesnt take all day. In my house everyone helped out, with the cooking and cleaning.... This is not the 50's and most modern women would find the house wife life boring and unrewarding..

Sounds to me like you can only handle submissive women and all you have to offer her is whatever you can make at your job. I see many heartaches in your future.

1) Interesting family statistics. However, your family is the exception. There are exceptions to every rule, but that doesn't make the exception the new rule.

2) There's a lot to do if she's got nothing to do. Go to the gym, go driving, go to the library, visit her friends and family (her parents, her inlaws, her siblings, etc), shop, read, write, go for a walk, surf, swim, volunteer, play sports, play video games (yes, to me that's hot when a chick likes games) or even work a PART TIME job. You know, all the stuff that chicks usually do to keep busy anyways. Did you think this through?

And yeah, you are right that it's not the 50s. Notice how divorce rates are much higher now than they were then. Were you by any chance trying to tell me that more divorces and broken marriages were a good thing?

Spoken like a true feminist. Why is it that if I don't WANT to put up with a career chick, all of a sudden I can't handle her? A real DJ would go for what he WANTS. Can't handle nonsubmissive women? Nay, I just don't WANT to. Women are supposed to be much more submissive than men, anyways. It's in their biological programming.

And what do you mean all I have to offer her is what I make at my job? And what do you have other than that, if that's all I have? I offer her ME. Is my source of income, be it job, investing, business, whatever, all of me? No. It is merely part of what I bring to the table. Whatever happened to the whole "pillar of strength, loving husband, strong yet loving father to future children" etc? I guess those don't apply unless you engage in a "50/50" dual income relationship, right? Whoops, guess I should go back into my corner and work on my financial statement, because it's all I will ever be able to offer a woman until I realize that only men who want working women can offer more than just that.

Those were your words dude. You said that you take care of her with what you do outside the home. What else would you mean other than work? That's all you said that you would do in exchange for her takes care of you inside.

I'm not taking care of any grown adult, that's just me. If you feel that you need to so that you can take care of you when you're home, that's fine. It just doesn't sound as if you'd be much of a "pillar of strength" as you put it if you need someone at home to take care of you. Just my opinion...

Now, would you care to point out to me where I said that that was the ONLY facet of it all? Or do you want to actually post a response that has to do with my point? Use your common sense. Obviously I'm not working 24/7 outside the home, and obviously she's not working 24/7 inside the home. Why do I need to explain this??

Dude, read your own words, I referenced your quote twice already... Are you now saying that those weren't your words?

Don't always be the one putting yourself out for her. Don't always be the one putting all the effort and work into the relationship. Let her, and expect her, to treat you as well as you treat her, and to improve the quality of your life.
