The girl who was currently testing numbers seven and eight for paternity of her future ward of the state had noticeably different reactions to the two guys on stage for the latest round. One guy barely muttered a word and looked like an alpha gangbanger. His eyes were beady and his face round. The other guy looked smarter, if smarts can be deduced by looking at a person. He was taller and better looking than the other guy, but not nearly as tough. Compared to the average Linux fanboy, he was an alpha, but next to the musclehead on his right, he was comparatively beta. He expressed some enthusiasm for assuming responsibility for the kid should he be proven to be the father. The alpha thug just shrugged his shoulder and smirked when asked what he would do if the kid turned out to be his.

Alpha was not the father. He jumped up and pumped his fist. A couple buddies greeted him on stage and they all chest bumped. Tongues were wagging. The girl didn’t seem too moved. When the next DNA test result was opened and the relatively beta good-hearted guy was declared free from 18 years of financial servitude, the girl totally lost it and ran screaming from the room.

It might’ve been staged, but if their reactions were close to the real deal, then it was obvious that women have a real fear… and a real need… for beta providers to help them raise their bastard children. When a child is sitting there in a stroller, this need is as encoded as the need to get ****ed hard by a badass alpha.

Interesting. I don't watch Maury, but I can guess that the woman's reaction may have been to having BOTH men fail the paternity... not just the second guy. She may have reacted the same if the paternity initially revealed last was instead revealed first.

Her frustration, although seemingly directed at the men's lack of paternity is more than likely a deep-seated guilt and/or shame within herself.

It either takes an enormous amount of courage and humility or a total lack of awareness to have something so private aired so publicly.

Back to the point of Beta Providers... there may be indeed a real need for them, as it is difficult for people to raise children on their own. I don't think that this was the woman's primary concern. (If she were just looking for a provider, would have 'chosen' to get pregnant by someone stable financially, and easily accessible).

The fact that she slept with a minimum of 9 men within roughly a two week time period suggests she has far deeper issues. Is she raises her child, she will more than likely pass those issues on to it, unfortunately.

Sorry I got a little off topic. I stopped watching shows like these because it flustered me to know that I share the planet with people like this.

If she felt guilt / shame, would she really be on TV broadcasting it to the world for an 8th time that she's a ho?

Well maybe in woman-logic land she would...

I am guessing money ? Not many women have shame.

It either takes an enormous amount of courage and humility or a total lack of awareness to have something so private aired so publicly.
I am going to bet on the second...

...Just trying to put myself in her situation... although I don't sleep around, so it's difficult to relate. I think if she were after money and support by getting pregnant, she would know who the father was.

I meant money by making the whole thing a show

Oh... do the guests really get paid to be on the show? I always thought that being able to be on TV was their 'payment' LOL :)

I sriously doubt that. Actually, I even doubt that those things are any real.

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.
