Doesn't Johnny Depp actually play the character of a DJ and I think the film has Don Juan in the title so maybe we should check that out.

Where I be at
are there no real characters in our lives that we have to turn to fictional ones? Regardless, what I don't understand is why people recommend movies that have very little emphasis on the dynamic between the male and the female. It seems like some of these movies are reccomended because 'guy does not act like he wants girl but gets her anyways, guy win!" Why not focus on a movie that is solely about the relationship between the male and the female, the problems that arise and the ways they are dealt with? Something like 'Before Sunrsie' the film that is about a guy and a girl who meet on the train and spend a whole day connecting and gettin rapport and attracted to each other, or "Love Jones" which shows the process of a man who goes out and gets a girl and then the problems that often arise during quasi-relationships? Or what about 'The Tao of Steve' which is about the idea and philosophy of getting women (sans the sh!tty ending) or 'Swingers' which is about rebounding from negativity.

I think that is the problem with all of these movie threads glorifying some fictional character who has no actual substance, only a desirable end result. Even the movies based on a seductive protagonist suck in this aspect, Alfie, the Adventures of Don Juan, James Bond, etc. You see these one liners or 30 seconds of banter and then a cut-scene to them rolling around in bed. That middle part is what matters most, I think the films that focus on realism are much more educational than the formalist films that are often glorified.

At this point you probably have a woman (or multiple women) chasing you around, calling you all the time, wanting to be with you. So let's talk about how to KEEP a woman interested in you once you have her. This is BIG! There is nothing worse than getting dumped by a woman that you really, really like.

Ironically, Don Juan DeMarco turns AFC at one point in the movie. He removes his mask he swore to always wear to try to get his lover to forgive him for having so many partners. Not only does she not forgive him, but she takes his mask and leaves.

I don't know if it were AFC or not. He was able to recognize that he cared for this particular woman more than any of the others (wasn't it over a thousand). I think it's pretty impressive to be able identify one that stands above the others while being able to have countless to choose from.

Padron Reserve maduro in hand while finishing my b
Alec Baldwins' Blake character in Glengarry Glen Ross. Brass balls, literally.

Fred Macmurray's Mr. Sheldrake in The Apartment. He turned young (and smokin' hot) Shirley Maclaine into a suicidal mess by brooming her off then bangin' down every other thing in a dress.

Robert Deniro's Neil Mccauley in Heat. All fvcking man. Pure Alpha.

Before Sunset the sequel to Before Sunrise that Microphone Fiend mentioned is a really good inspirational movie for DJ's to watch.

Actually they both are but I just think the second one was the best.

And like another poster said Braveheart and just about every movie Mel Gibson has been in.

Lethal Weapon 2 I think it was showed good rapport with some hot blond chick who he gamed in a supermarket lol.

The Mask of Zorro.

Watch how a petty thief by the name of Alejandro(Banderas) transform into Don Diego Vega/Zorro with the help of the old Zorro (Hopkins) and using his new suave personality able to seduce the hot Elana (Zeta Jones) and saves the day. Lots of good DJ stuff in this movie.

Yeah, Antonio does well in the Zorro flicks but I would definitely say that his character in Desparado and Once Upon a Time in Mexico had a more entense type of charisma; attitude for days.

Neo from the matrix......

...he was born a slave. in a sense an AFC.....then through a process of self realization he became the one(don juan)

the matrix is the dream world pulled over our eyes...(by the media) women are the prize/ buy flowers/pay for everything/write poems....untill the day comes where you must choose the red or blue pill (continue in your AFCness or take steps to become a don juan)....hopefully you will choose the right choice and become free....

agent smith kills neo....

....something must kill the AFC within you to move onto the next step....

Neo wakes up realizing that he is the one....and can see the matrix for what it really is....

When the AFC within you is dead the Don juan in you can grow...and you can see the world for what it realy is ...and how it really works....

....think about it....watch the matrix again...

There is no way in hell I'm going to start watching that movie as some allegory to the death of the AFC... It a good movie with good action and a dam good modern day version of Plato's "Allegory of the Cave" with people's perceptions might not see the world what it is actually is and people's resistance to new ideas (blue pill/red pill), but starting to put stuff that was not meant by the writers is too much of a strech to me and as a dj inspration...

he writers didnt mean it to apply to the don juan world....so what???

one of the themes of the movie is self realization and choice....matter of fact that may be the biggest theme in the movie....

i was always a huge matrix fan....that being said....your opinion is your opinion...but dont criticize me for being inspired by it....

i can make a huge post.....on this allagory....in fact i might...some things may be out of place as far as using the whole trilogy...but i can make it work from just the first movie....

me being a recovering AFC ive been in the matrix for most of my life....

someone...not sure who....put the ideas that women are these damn near sacred innocent beings that must be won....and the ideas of romance normally portrayed and thought of are mostly viewed as acts of desperation in the real world.....

only by learning the truth....and by learning who YOU are can you be free...and be who you are truly meant to be....

so its not a stretch for me....most things pretty much fall into place for me actually...

instead of staying in the same ignorant state....id rather take the right pill....and see how deep the rabbit hole goes....in hopes of learning my true abilitys....how the real world works....and to kill the AFC within me....and become the MAN im supposed to be.....or better yet DESTINED to be....

you dont have to see it the same way....but it jas makes sense to me....

A small shack in the middle of nowhere.
Alexander DeLarge from "A Clockwork Orange"...

Oh COME ON, SOMEONE had to say it! :p

I mean, the guy walks into a random bar/record shop, walks up to two total strangers, talks to them for about five seconds before licking the girls ice-lolly and inviting them back to his place for wild sex... I mean come on, that's nuts...

Eric 'Otter' Stratton from the classic comedy 'Animal House' anyone?

The guy's a real DJ. He's ****y, articulate, and super smooth. Plus he knows how to play the sympathy card too. The way he picks up the dean's wife in a supermarket is just amazing. The scene with the dead girl's friend is another classic!

And of course Sean Connery's James Bond. He's a real DJ in Dr No, and pretty good in other movies too

Yep and in the movie Once Upon a time in Mexico, Depp also played a cool suave character.
