Hi everyone,

I work from home and have got into a rut. Anyone like me who stays in of an evening with a bottle of wine and DVD/tv can't be bothered to make the effort. Too tired with heavy work pressures and lack of money- lame excuse I know. I see so many people near me live alone, young and old who just appear to stay in to find the comfort in a warm home. I'll sort myself out in the spring :)

Hey man, I understand. I work from home too and have limited funds. Sometimes it can really seem like my best bet is biding time and waiting for my circumstances to change; but some days this can also feel like a concession and can be somewhat demoralizing. What has helped me a great deal lately has been trying to understand my personal motivations for wanting to meet women. What I recently admitted to myself is I do have an ego and it feels great to take proper care of it, having girls interested in me and turned on by my advances is an amazing feeling that enriches my life. I am relatively new to the forum so I don't know your story. But I hope you can find the "inspiration" you're looking for. Tell a little more about more about your situation if you like.

I've been in your situation and it's amazing how busy you can become with little to no extra spending money.
If you can join a local gym, join it. Don't need fancy, just need steel. It will help your outlook and energy levels tremendously.
As Scar suggests, learn to dance. That is by far the easiest way to make certain social venues simple. 90% of the women wait for the 10% of the men who know how to dance properly to ask. (it's nice to see those ratios in our favor).
Urban hiking sounds kind of lame, but it's 70% women and very few hungry men. It's easy and ... something to do. The other perk, is the people are all rather intelligent. Good to practice your conversation skills. Find a club.

Loose the booze. I loooooove to drink, but never when I'm alone (made that a rule some years ago). It's way to habit forming and limits you from almost everything.

Also, cancel your cable (if you really want to shake things up). I've not watched TV for years. I'm so busy now, I can even imagine having the time to turn on that IQ sucking vampire.

Thanks to everyone.

Scara... you make me laugh in a good way, you're a great guy - I'm fine, sounding off helps.

Tried the internet dating lark with lots of responses. Typical profile:

Wanting a guy who can sweep them off their feet, own horses, well read... you know what I'm saying, Mr perfect - wish I was that. The way I read them is that they have been watching too many fantasy films or programmed by being doted on
wanting a rich movie star or similar. - get real I say. This has been on free websites too for modest career people!.

Anyway dance classes for me soon, given the bars a go and waisted hundreds of pounds over many years.

Dear Jeremy,
I remember you well, you had a weakness for Barmaids I recall...In general Pubs and Clubs are a waste of time, barmaids? You must have had a death wish LOL.....That is unless they have Dancing, then you may cut a swathe of destruction...Keep up your Internet activities,it will help you develop your social skills, fielding questions..developing lines, learning which replies are acceptable..
Dancing:First check out the social dancing of all types available in your area, talking to a Social Dancer is a great help here,in London there are hundreds of venues, web sites are dedicated to this...Go and visit as many of the ones you might consider local...then ascertain the spots that have surplus Women...Identify the style of Dance they are doing, ultimately Salsa might be the go..A Flamenco Bar or A Tango Milonga any specialist venues should at this stage be avoided...50/50 Ball room and Rock will be best to start with...now find a Dance Studio...Check that they are offering the traditional styles,if they offer medal courses then they will be OK..Now go to the Elementary Course,do a Say ten week Course...Take a note book, develop a short hand for the steps, write it all down...get some music...learn The Waltz, modern rythm Foxtrot and Jive or Rock...that will get you out of trouble...Practice every Day...If you hit a Log Jam,then the best thing is throw Money at it get a few private lessons, should be about 15 Pounds a half hour, cheap really it will help you power ahead..If I can Help Mail Me!

Jeremy,

I'm feeling the exact same way you feel but for different reasons. I'm at a point where all I want is sex. I think about women all the time. I find something attractive about every woman I see. My problem is that I now have a low opinion of women and the more women I meet, the lower my opinion of them becomes. I'm trying to look for any glimmer of hope or motivation, but I can't find any.

I work from home as well.

You have to work to create the life that you want. You have to do the things that interest you, you have to set goals and work at them.

I work from home. What i did a few weeks ago is started Kung Fu, I also found a new friend to hang out with, who is very outgoing and good with women. I work out 6 days a week. I'm going to meetup.com events, tomorrow I'm going to a street art festival and playing beach volleyball. In April I'm taking an acting class so I can work on my body language. I used to be kind of shy, I'm really working on that know. I'm making extra cash in the stock market, so lately I've had enough money to go on nice dates, and out for drinks with friends to meet girls.
