Master Don Juan
Tonight marked the second time in less than a week in which I was 'the guy' a girl in a relationship cheated on her boyfriend with.
First case - run into a girl at a party, second time I've ever interacted with this chick, tell her how much I like my friends apartment, she tells me her apartment is nicer, invites me over, we fool around, and before we have sex she stops me and tells me that she can't go proceed because she has a boyfriend
Second case - ex from my first serious relationship (was with her for almost five years, been a little over five years since we broke up) reached out to me today and asked if I want to grab a beer. I agree. She's been dating a guy seven months now, judging by what I see of her life on Instagram, it looks like she's really into him. Things first took an interesting twist when we were seated and he called. I feigned aloofness, but I was curious to see how she'd handle telling him of her wherabouts. She told him she was at a nearby sports grill, but she never made any mention of me. He called again about an hour later, and she made up a story on the fly about how she was out with a friend who happened to be in the bathroom. He wasn't buying it, asked her to put her friend on the phone, and she was exposed as a liar. As I drove her home, she couldn't stop crying, saying over and over "this was the guy I'm supposed to marry!" Strictly speaking, no, she didn't exactly cheat, but you know what they say - perception is reality. If I were her boyfriend, I'd probably be furious too.
I constantly suspected my (last) ex, the one I was just broke up with, of at least emotionally cheating on me, either hung up on an ex and/or preparing to swing onto the next branch while still with me. This same girl emotionally cheated on another guy with me too (all while I remained ignorant to the fact that she had a boyfriend to begin with as she'd sext me).
Now, I've never been cheated on (that I know of), but this is merely a different side to the same coin. My question is: have any of you witnessed so much cheating, or were also the guy another taken girl cheated on her guy with, that the repulsion with women's propensity to blindly follow her flighty, irrational impulses made entering into an exclusive relationship completely anathema to you?
