Different skin color and accent, but she certainly shares many traits of the Western feminist. The Western media is (unsurprisingly) running with the story.

Don't get me wrong, the crime in question is absolutely horrible.The guys that committed that gang rape/murder do deserve condemnation and severe punishment.

But this is being cynically exploited as a way to advance many items of the feminist agenda. Now reforms must be enacted to destroy the Patriarchy, "promote equal opportunity" and to protect women against violence.

The sad thing is that a lot of men will fall over themselves to support the cause!

Agree. I have read statistics somewhere that most women in America get raped for fun during high school and college drunk parties where everyone falls all over everyone else.
In India they make all hue and cry. Eventually they are going to make some stupid amendments which will make penetration by penis more punishable than say penetration by knife. ****ing Stupid. It is already a feminist society with all the 'Eve teasing' laws, and now more **** is brewing.

Of course the feminists will claim that the lower numbers of reported rapes in India are because of the "culture of suppression." But actually, India has a lower rate of violent crime than the United States and I'd bet that on the whole, women are as safe or safer there than they are here. Interestingly, India also elected multiple female prime ministers and presidents. But of course a big hue and cry is being made of this and it will be used to push through a number of fem-centric reforms.
