If you have big legs, you WILL get big arms.
You say it makes it harder to do all that stuff cause of big legs? Well, your arms will adapt! Which means bigger and more strength in your arms!

keep the squats, they are very beneficial.


EDIT: just reead you didn't ENTIRELY cut them out

You don't want your legs to grow so you continue to do the high rep set which will cause more growth than the low rep set. Hmm.

And you want to quit squats because advanced moves work by momentum created by the hips, which is what squats really train.

Your post doesn't really make much sense to me.

You say you don't like squats since your legs are getting so big but your arms aren't, yet you ask for a substitute to squats. If there *were* to be a good replacement for squats, it would roughly work out the same muscles, which really doesn't address the problem you're complaining about.

Explain.


On another note, if you squat big, your arms are going to get big too. Squats simulate the greatest hormone release for muscle growth, so squats do contribute to stronger upper body.
