There are many personal reasons why I want to do this (none of them has to do with religion or morals though).

I used to watch porn every ****ing day. Now I can go for 2 weeks or so, then watch one video and jerk off, then go another 2 weeks.

I didn't use to feel bad about it, but now I feel like **** every time I watch.

So yeah, I just wanted to share it with you guys, and I believe this time I'm pretty close to quitting porn forever.

It's extremely hard. I can now understand those drug users having such a hard time quitting their addiction.

Any of you have been through something like this before?

Tried to quit watching porn once. Gave up on that idea. Nothing wrong with alone time and it doesn't effect my sex life and I'm not into (as someone else here recently quoted Sam Jackson) - "fvcked up repugnant sh!t"

If you're into wacky or illegal stuff then you got a problem - at least IMHO.

Otherwise, if you give up porn, you may as well give up jerkin it too.

Good luck.

Heh - that was what I thought also; I was going to see if there was something I could help you with, so you wouldn't need to if you didn't really want to! :)

Yes I am trying right now and have been for awhile now. Like you, I didn't use to feel like **** after I looked at porn. Now, every time afterwards I feel extremely guilty. I am addicted to porn. I could watch it for hours on end. So far I was able to quit for 6 months, but then i slipped. Now its like every month that I slip. Hopefully I'm on the right path this time though. I think your decision to quit watching porn is a great one as it messes up your perception of women. If you want additional help and support of other people, I suggest you visit www.no-porn.com.

I really don't even watch porn. I tend to get extremely jealous of the guys in porn. I have a very specific type of porn I like, it has to be produced well and have really hot chicks in it. But I haven't watched it or downloaded it in while. Occasionally when I log on to check my xtube earnings I'll watch a clip here and there.

I don't even masturbate either. It's like bad luck.

Remember what Mystery says in "The Game" on page 187?

"P.S. I've been reading Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich", and I want to suggest something related. If you regularly masturbate, you can easily become addicted. This addiction comes in the form of daily regularity that curbs your desire to go out. It also does not allow you to harness your sex drive, which can be used to motivate yourself to work on wealth-building projects.

If you aren't getting laid on a regular basis (which happens to all of us from time to time), then don't just choke 'til you're broke. Set a date with yourself. Only jerk it once a week. If you jerked it today, set the jerk date for seven days from now. If you don't get a girl between then and now, you'll have something to look forward to. Make it a good jerk! Use the best porn and hand lotion. Look forward to it and this will keep you from wasting your life away jerking it daily and focusing constantly on the paid of not having a girlfriend.

In the meantime, harness your sex drive and build something."

This took place right after he went through the period in which all he did was download ***** lesbian porn on his laptop and hardly went out. I think personally he's right. My friend Joe recently said "I think it's bad luck." He's got a point as well.

Thanks guys. I do believe it affects me in negative ways. I don't see anything positive in porn except for the short-term instant pleasure.

That sites looks good but I don't like that they are charging me for the ebook. If they really want to help it should be free.

If you feel guilty about a habit, you brain is trying to tell you that something isn't right. Sounds like porn is keeping you from taking care of other aspects of your life. Find that balance: keep your game tight and enjoy the rewards of porn; but don't use porn as a crutch or escape.
100% agree. Thanks brah.

How do you get xtube earnings? Did you make a video and upload it? I am wondering if I can make any money off filming my girlfriend.

I tried. I hadn't jerked it for a week almost. I just did it not too long ago. Maybe,I need to ween myself off of it moreso.

LOL. You must be a young in. It's embarrassing to admit you watch porn when young because its considered gross. Up until you reach a certain age, then its cool to admit you have a porn addiction, because then its considering a vice and people pity you.

Remember what Mystery says in "The Game" on page 187?

You are completely confusing the issues. They are two separate and individual issues. Being rich and creating wealth and nothing to do with watching porn. That's like saying if you drink Coke constantly you will be up all night and won't be able to work on wealth building projects. It makes no sense

Watching porn becomes chemical addiction in your brain, you can't just break it because you feel like it. That's like telling someone who doesn't have a job "Save all your money 6 days a week, and on the 7th day, splurge a little." It's a good idea in theory, but first he has to find a job. The guy watching porn first has to find a gf.

In the meantime, harness your sex drive and build something."[/I][/B]

How the heck is watching porn "bad luck?" It's bad luck when you gamble and lose, its bad luck when you 401K crashes, its bad luck when you get into a car accident and its not your fault. Watching porn is an action, its not "bad luck."

You're missing the point. That point is: the more you jerk off and watch porn on a regular basis, the more lazy you will become and the less motivation and desire to go out and pursue goals you will have.

This is true. I can identify with this.

Again, you're missing the point.

Mystery is just giving advice:

"Hey guys, if you don't get laid, try not to masturbate and watch porn compulsively, it will make things worse".

I've been there before. I started that habit up 10 years ago, and just quit for good (finally) about 4-5 months ago, both because it hurt my wife that I was hooked to it, and I felt like I was dishonoring God too. But it definitely does help as now I don't feel like sh** about myself NEAR as badly as before. Go for it dude.

Yes, and I can relate to every sentence you typed. And I can tell you right now, quiting porn forever isn't going to happen. In fact it isn't watching porn the problem, but the underlying affect it has on you after you wack off to it. You just need to dig deep into why you feel this and realize that it is normal. One profound thing I realize recently is that females find masterbation rather no big deal yet men tend to attribute more guilt to the act.

Simply a little porn is fine just as a little bit of wine for your dinner is fine. It is when you indulge into it like an addict or alcoholic. It is unhealthy.

Just curious, why not?

I don't even know what adderall is.

People are able to quit smoking forever, I don't see any difference with porn.

I am not saying quiting porn is impossible, in fact it is doable. But base on what you wrote and what I can read of you, it will not happen with you (not yet at least). You see, those who can quit simply are already strong enough to do it. If you are not strong enough yet, you will always bounce back. Since you are trying to quit so you don't feel bad about yourself, to me, it is simply a sign of weakness. You are driven by an emotion, therefore, you will eventually reach a point where you feel a strong need to relief yourself. That's when you bounce back.

I could be wrong but I try and tell it as it is. Keep me posted on your progress if you do attempt this path. Good luck.
