Lately, this social circle of girls I've been talking to have started this thing. They claim I'm all exactly like some dude I don't even know, and even have begun calling me a shortened version of his name. I don't know if this is a good thing, or a bad thing, or what. They all think I am exactly this guy, in my personality and stuff.

Whether or not it is good, that isn't the point. The point is that is pisses me off, but every time I say something like, "Don't call me that! it bugs me!" things get awkward...and then the next day, they're back to calling me that.

I've gotten mad a few times and said something to the effect of, "I don't know who this guy is, but he better be at least half as good looking, charming, and funny as I am for you to be comparing us.", which generally results in mad laughter, but once ended in a hideous awkward silence.

Anyways, how should I seriously get them to stop calling me that without getting ignored or being awkward about it. It throws me off, lol.

They clearly either...

Don't respect you.

Or

Don't take you seriously.

Tell them that it makes you hurt. When a guy says something like that in a serious tone, chicks usually take it seriously.

Don't tell them while laughing and all that business. Straight up, like a caveman. ;)

thats possibly the worst thing you can do

just ignore it or change the subject

it seems like all your interaction with them is within the "group" and not the individual girl

you need to get to know them better if you do so

dont say "stop callin me that"

but you have to come up with some witty nickname or somethin that you can call them they might not like all that much yet wont call you out on it

right now you have become the sacrifical lamb of their useless conversation

ehh, great idea in theory; but never actually works

name-calling..... ahh, how it has haunted mankind since that first day of kindergarten...

ignoring it doesn't help; responding to it is only encouraging; and showing that it upsets you is like throwing gas on a fire.....

normally, the best course of action is to just act as if it doesn't bother you at all.... however from the way you describe it it doesn't sound like they're doing it to tease you; it's just..... something they say. A fun nickname to them.
Kinda hard to get rid of that. The only way I've seen in my experience is when a better nickname comes along that's more fun than the previous. Or the old nickname just gets boring.
Up to you to figure out how to get there....

I'd go straight up and tell the dried up c*nts to stop f*cking around and get to explaining, and if they don't budge ditch those girls and find a new set or rape them or something.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

i have changed my mind

though my advice can work what id now suggest is that you look at them like they are acting cooler than they are and say some things along the line of

"yea you have mentioned that about 10 times already, dont you girls have anything else to talk about" - make it seem that you are really curious so that it may not come off as such an insult

So?

Next time they say you look like so-and-so, just say:

"Really? Well, that's impossible."

They'll ask why.

You say:, "Could there ever be anyone as hot as me? Let's get serious here, I'm pure sex appeal, 9 out of 10 women agree. The tenth woman? Well, she's blind."

:D

Don't take them too seriously, man.
