I'm going for blood testing to get checked for STI's. I got reckless back in 2011 and 2012 but never really bothered to check up on the status of my health. I've got burned one time after hammering away on some chick and it ended up snapping the condom. Luckily what I contracted from her was entirely curable. After that experience I never shown any symptoms of anything else but for my peace of mind I wanna know if these tests are actually accurate.

Blood tests are quite accurate if there has been time for any disease to incubate, ie no use getting a blood test the morning after. But if you're going for a blood test get the whole raft of tests done. They're real fun.

Throat swab, anal swab if you need that and don't forget, the only medical test that's more painful for men than women - the needle/umbrella down the uretha. That'll make your eyes water ;)

Go for it. These test are pretty accurate because they're searching for something specific, i. e. a part of the virus or the bacteria, as opposed to other test that look for "normal levels", like hemoglobin, glucose, etc.
