For two weeks, all I heard the media do was hype Danica Patrick. Why? Because she is a women driver competing against men. So why is it that women want equal rights, yet when they do something men have been doing for years for the 1st time, it is groundbreaking and must-see. This feminism movement makes me sick. The whole two weeks, I was like who gives a **** that a women is driving in a race. I wonder who actually does care. Someone must because she has been on a Sports Illustrated cover and all over ESPN. So when the race comes along, many people are predicting her to finish first, just because she is a woman and they think it would be a great, feel-good story. Then she finished 13th out of 22. The media is like, what went wrong? I think it is hilarious. Same with the WNBA, who actually watches this crap. Does the league actually make money. In my opinion going to the game would be the ultimate snoozefest.

i think is part of the whole "women can do anything men can" phiolosphy women these days have. But its also bc she draws ratings. The indy 500 did the best ratings wise since 1997. So yea a lot more people tune in to see how the girl will do, just bc ppl are curious. Its a combination of trying to draw more people to watch cars going in circles, get the ratings up and the part is the feminist movement.

Yeah, I agree the hype got really annoying...Although it's really the media's fault, not hers. I'm sure she doesn't want all that added pressure of doing 20 interviews a day answering the same retarded questions. They should just leave her alone, for our sake and her sake.
The more exposed she becomes the more endorsments she will get and therefore I don't believe she minds all that attention. It is sad however that she will be getting better endorsment deals then better drivers out there because she is a hot woman.

This is not a great photage of the incident that happen during the altercation that occured between Danica Patrick and Dan Wheldon. They showed on television that she walked up to him grabbed his arm and got in his face and shoved him back. Now who does she think she is? If this was another guy, Dan Wheldon would have shoved her back or got into a fight but since she is a woman he can't do that and gladley he didn't do anything but its just goes to show you that there is double standereds and when it comes to sports there is no equality between the sexes.
