I've been with this really great girl for a couple months, and we are hitting it off well. We have great feelings about each other, and I am happy.

Now the other night, we had sex, and we weren't around each other very much during the week, and the urge for BOTH of us was really strong.

Now, when we went to do it, she told me she was on her period, and it didn't bother me, we did it anyway.

Now I feel like an idiot, because I heard that when a girl is on her period, she can't get pregnant because she's shedding the lining of the uterus. Because of this, when I came, I left it in, and didn't pull out. Later on I hear that that was the LAST day she was bleeding. AKA the last day of her period.

I'm really worried now that I got her pregnant. She said she wasn't worried because she was on her period.

Now I've been doing some serious reading on the internet the past day or so, and some websites say that right after her period she's NOT fertile, then other places say that she's the most fertile.
The information out there is so contadictory!!!

Am I a father for sure, or is there a chance that I may have hit it at the right time.

BTW, I'm almost 21, and she's just turned 20 a couple months ago.

I don't think he was, in which case the chances of her being pregnant are pretty good.

You have 72 hours to get the pill. Has it been three days in not go get the pill.

If it has been more than 3 days you better pray.

Good Luck.

I think if he was wearing a condom he wouldnt be panicing or would have mentioned it. Mate I have been through 1 or 2 pregnancy scares with my GF so I know how you feel. I basically felt sick and started saying to myself that I was sure she was pregnant. I also frantically read information on the net (she hadent take the pill for a couple of days for a reason i cant remember).

Hopefully the scare will turn out to be false, and you will learn from it. Now im even cautious when she's on the pill. My advice is to try not to worry, there is nothing you can do, and remember that even if she was fertile, chance of pregnancy is not 100%.

If luck is on your side, hopefully you'll walk away with a big breath of relief and a serious lesson learnt.

Good Luck

Keep us posted.

Yes,

as mentioned by Ashlee, you can get an "after morning pill", or one that goes over 3 days. but you need to be fast. If your not too late, get her to a doctor for a prescription ASAP!

With no protection, the flat chance of her getting pregnant in one session is 8%. I read this in the documentation that came with the morning after pill. Taking that pill within 72 hours will reduce that chance to 1% chance (which is still worse than using a condom, etc.).

Shackmaster - I don't remember a whole lot about it from my A&P/OB classes in nursing school so I looked it up... The short answer is that it depends. There is such a thing as the rhythm method of birth control, determined by taking the length of her cycles the past sixth month. Subtract 20 days from the shortest cycle, and 10 days from the longest cycle. And that will give you the 'unsafe' period. The first day of the cycle is the first day of her period, which in turn could last 3-6 days. So again, the answer depends on where she was at... So if the unsafe period for her is between day 6 and day 24 of her cycle, and it was day 3 for her, then you guys might be okay. But keep in mind that sperm can survive 48-72 hours, so there are other variables involved too. Sorry I can't give a definate answer to your question!

Um...thats bullshi t. Scientists have now found out that females often ovulate 2 times a month, which totally renders any type of rythym method useless(not that it ever worked in the first place)

Doctors have long known that the rythym method never worked, but until a few months ago they didn't know why. now that we now that women can ovulate more than once a month, we now know that its impossible, with todays technology, to guess when ovulation occurs.

NOT TO WORRY

The chances of she being pregnant are extremely , extremely low. I have been through your scenario many times and many times. I can give you more info in my next post since i got it all saved from a Doctor friend of mine with a PHD on Embryology who i came for help when the exact thing happened and even worst scnarios occurred to me in my inmature crazy old days. Your chances are very small but i wont say a number out of the top of my head in case i might wrong.
I have had sex with out a condom during a girls period many times and taken that chance as i know the risk are extremely small, i would suggest to always wear a condom but if you dont ...you did it at the right time.I would suggest for her not to take the 72 hour pill....your chances are to small and the 72 hour pill has other effects.I will bring you more information in a day from today..but for now relaxx..you are SAFE!

"Pulling it out" will not prevent pregnancy anyhow. Your pre-kum has sperm in it.

Well, myfriendblu, not to turn this into an off-topic scientific debate but that's why I said there are other variables involved as well, thanks for your input though. :)

Wow, the amount of bullsh it spewed on this board is worse than I thought. Sorry walden, your DJ in training posts are sweet, but That quote is ridiculous.

Chances of pregnancy from unprotected sex, given an average sperm count and a normal female being, is a little under 20 percent. Thats about a 1 in 5 times chance. I don't thinks its a coincidence, but its about the same chances of playing russian roulette. :D

Cheers,
no prob mate. Like I said, this is new technology, doctors just found this out like a few months ago. I think we have all known that the rythym method didn't work, now we know why.

FYI..

The pullout method only works if you are pulling out of her mouth, her butt, or her driveway!
