Don't know about you guys but since I started lifting weight and although I am only a few lbs "bulkier" than before my posture got better and I noticed girls giving me looks.

Also, immediately after the workout I feel really great and my posture is totally alpha and I feel way more confident (probably due to the testosterone level rising).

I honestly don't believe you can be taken seriously if you are really skinny, no matter what your attitude is.

I'll tell you one thing. If you don't do anything about it now theres an increasingly chance they will do it to you all year... Don't that that bull from anyone...That used to be me... I was a loser back then... now.. I get respect. If they are bigger than you... then I suggest taking a knife to school  just kidding.

Thanks for all the replies. I actually do work out twice a week for 45min...my trainer said for mass gaining, it's best NOT to weight-lift constantly, but only every so often so the muscles can recover.

But then again I know I'm not the only skinny guy in my class, so I guess it's something about my attitude as well...dunno. Like I said, some skinny guys are just downright boring (nerdy...not saying they aren't nice people)...so nobody even really sees them. Others are cooler/better looking so they get respect regardless. Honestly, I sometimes enjoy laughing at myself, as long as it's not pushing others too far.
