I been in a crazy situation these past couple of years, especially after getting robbed. However getting robbed has made me very militant. I'm posting hoping I can get some advice from someone different in my environment on how to flip this 4000$ legally and eventually start making my money work for itself

The plan I have in mind so far is starting a T-shirt business and gradually growing the brand to extend to many subordinates of the apparel industry. But I am aware that this is a "Me too" business meaning everybody and their moms is doing it and I'm open to hear what you all would do if you on your last 4000$

Not to mention I need a car I don't plan to spend around 1500 on, unless I feel the 4000$ I'm investing is worth it

Blessed to currently have shelter and food no expense
Please no get a job replies

spend the 4000 on your essential needs. even if you put it all in the business right now it would be half assed beucse you would be concerned about the things you don't have

you shun material possessions, but make sure you have food on the table and clothes on your back and a roof over your head. most importantly, develop a plan. it's not gonna happen overnight but with a few well thought out attacks over time you can get where you want to get.

I am self-employed and have been in your position twice in my life. Battle plan aside, I have one simple question:

What are you willing to sacrifice in your life to get to the finish line?

1) Take out that $4000 and get it into cash or a separate bank account.
2) Apply for Food stamps, EBT, WIC, etc. Give them the bank account that should have a pathetic balance.
3) Apply for unemployment if you have not done so.
4) Get out of the T-Shirt making business, you competitors will make it for cheaper and more efficient than you, given your situation.
5) You don't need a car, you just need reliable transportation.
6) You are FVCKED, realize that you are a minor accident away from being homeless. Be very careful with what you spend your money on.

If you have a skill, post on craigslist and offer your services. Advertise yourself to potential consumers. Realize that your T-shirt business is not going to get you out of this rut. Build a social network of people that can help you out and rely on them. It's not ideal, but you are in a very sh!tty situation.

Network. Network. Network.

Good luck, though I am very curious how you came across this site.

you know when I first started my first business and I mean when I FIRST started it, my mom kicked me out hte house (I was 19) and then my grandmom proceeded to kick me out the house and my dad did not have room at his house for me so I lived out of my car for about 3 months.

you know, it sucked, but in retrospect i have no doubt i would not be here today if that did not happen. It was the best thing that ever could have happened to me beucase, people go their lives avoiding instead of risking. I did. I do now beucse i have a son and a wife. But I was there. I was homeless. And you know, i lived. It wasn't grat. It wasn't as bad as i though it was, but I lived. you figure it out. you figure out where you can sleep, what parking lots are good, where you can wash up, etc. I never had a problem with food i had petty cash for gas and food but not money for a place to stay. every once in a while i'd rent a hotel room at motel 6.

but my point is, i did it and the fear was gone. when i finally got an apartment with my business partner, I no longer subconsciously thought "well **** what if this doesn't work out, i'll be homeless". Now I'm like "**** it lol" If it happens it happens. It damn near did again and It really wasn't even that big a deal i had a plan in place ready to go.

my point being, it sucks being where you are but, at least you're there. AT least you know what it's like being where you are now and once you get out of it, you will have the experience of knowing if push comes to shove you can do it and not to fear it.

I wouldn't think any homeless man could afford a car or paradise in a motel. Rest of the post is legit though.

Go for it.

I'll leave you to make your own mistakes; you evolve through failure. Just be careful what you include in the definition of "manhood." Strong belief systems can make or break you. Choose wisely.

Money is only the by-product of your struggle. First, you must struggle. Most successful entrepreneurs have been where you are right now, maybe even worse. This is one of the moments of your life that will shape you. Embrace it friend.

You essentially upped your VALUE in her eyes by showing her that, if she wants you, she has to at times do things that you like to do. You are SOMETHING after all. You are NOT FREE. If she wants to hang with you, it's going to cost her something — time, effort, money.

I wish I had 4 grand. I live check to check and I am bootstrapping a business. If you don't have a passion for apparel, stay out of that market. What is your passion and what problem does it solve for other people? That's the business you need to be in. Start small and get customer number one before you worry about websites and all the trappings of a business, just see if someone will part with their hard earned energy (cash) for your service/product/entertainment. Focus on getting a car and saving as much money as possible until you really decide what you want to do.
