My thoughts are pretty much along the same lines as @Desdinova.

If you are going to get married go into it on your terms ensuring any potential downside is mitigated as far as possible. That isn't being negative, it is simply protecting yourself from being shafted by the legal system.

As high value men we should be screening as much as we possibly can.

Too many women in the modern era want to get married as a right, without having even been a good partner!

And what if for this particular fairytale woman, you get much more juice than you thought you'd squeeze out?
It's part of the risk/reward analysis. There is almost no upside for a man to get married anymore. You used to get a life partner that had a modicum of respect for you... women had at least SOME appreciation for what the men in their lives did for them... Now, husbands and fathers are not respected... rather they are the brunt of jokes... ridiculed for being stupid, and women are the only ones with any sense at all. You have all the responsibility in a marriage and zero authority to get anything done.

Half of marriage ends in divorce, and the half that doesn't... well... most men just get treated like garbage... they end up fat and miserable while a nagging screw makes his life a living hell until he is used up... and resented because he failed to make his wife 'feel special'. In truth, MAYBE 10% of Marriages are truly happy... another 15% are content.... with 25% just a living fvcking hell for the man.

So now we know the risk.... what is the reward?

.... Really... there is no reward, well you get the government involved in your sex life.... that's just fvcking AWESOME... How could that possibly go wrong? All women are the same, so when one gets tired of you or you get tired of her... then you just plug in a new one without getting the Godd@mn government involved in your private life.

Why would I sign a contract that gives her half of all the money I earned regardless of whether she cheats on me or leaves me for some other BS reason? That contract doesn't guarantee she will be yours, just that you're a moron who got played. NEVER get married. Marriage is her end game and it means she can go muck other guys and do whatever with no risk because she can walk away with a lot of money (in my case), so why the heck would I do that?

I was broke as a joke when I learned game, but now that I have money I'm tempted to not even have a gf let alone get married, just buy a lambo in cash and drive it around Friday/Saturday nights and bang 2-3 different chics a weekend. Check out the videos on youtube of the Lambo pranks on gold diggers and see how quickly the girls will take their panties off when they see you have a luxury car like that.

Personally it's unlikely I will ever buy one, maybe rent, as I'd rather be able to retire early from working than get laid at the turn of a key....

No such man or woman exists. Nobody is perfect and nobody is great. We are all flawed individuals living out a human experience the BEST we can.

If you decide to get married (which I have no idea why unless it's for political/network based reasons) then you marry someone that you honestly FEEL is going to have your back going forward for a very long time. Her looks will most likely change, her attitude will most likely change, and there will be flaws with her that you have to deal with. But if you feel she will die in a burning building with you, that's someone you might consider for the marriage contract.

I personally am NEVER signing a marriage contract. I can have a loving relationship with someone without it.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

Now you're starting to make sense.

Marriage as we know it, is over. It needs to be taken out of the governments hands.

I’m talking about theoreticals in this thread. I want to know the mindset of people on here. Is it to actually learn how to slay poon all the time or is it just because we’ve had to adapt to a crappy society? That was the purpose of this thread.

Correct and see the thing is this....it's not a complete result of "women" either.

Society has changed. In previous times, the structure of marriage made complete sense when you had a lack of women's liberation and you didn't have modern day household technology. This required a man in the field making money and a woman in the house doing work, as neither could really "survive" without the other. You also had an entire COMMUNITY CULTURE that promoted women getting married between the ages of 18 - 21 and staying married in order for survival. A woman's mother would literally kick her out of the house and shame her for getting pregnant out of wedlock.

Today is completely different.

Men and Women no longer need each other. Household technology makes it so that there's no need for a live-in spouse doing "housework" all day, both genders can have careers, we no longer have a community culture that requires women to marry young or marry at all (liberation), and on top of this......you have social media, online dating, and texting that have just taken a house fire and turned it into a BLOCK fire.

Marriage makes absolutely no sense today.

As you know, I always talk about how the market is bad.......but when I say the market is bad, I'm referring to the concept of looking for a TRADITIONAL BASED LTR.

That particular and specific section of the market is in a GREAT DEPRESSION due to changing cultural forces that are completely and utterly out of our control.

The market for short term dating and one night stands is BOOMING if you are a decent looking guy with some money and/or a good personality, that's not afraid to go out there and meet women in person and online. That market is booming, I'm talking about you can have a series of plates, double booked dates, etc., etc.

Agreed.

As a kid I saw my mother and father kill each other and I thought, "why would you do this ****e?". I saw my eldest brother get a biatch pregnant, marry her and then go through a relationship hell (they had four kids, the fifth kid ain't his but he raises it as his while killing himself working for them all....

....I saw a second brother devoted to a stuck up cow, devoting his life to her and their kids and I couldn't quite grasp it....

Each to their own but I'd rather travel.

That said, that was back in the day when people may have had something close to values.....

Today, I understand not the attraction of marriage. Like you say it's changed. Beyond recognition. A young man wanted that would need his heed examined. Perish the thought man, perish the thought.

Channel your excited feelings into positive thoughts and behaviors. You will attract women by being enthusiastic, radiating energy, and becoming someone who is fun to be around.
