Anywhere in the US. I don't care if it's Flint in Michigan, I just want to get the **** out of this country.
That's the spirit of a welcome immigrant. He's researched our country enough to know how bad it would suck to live in Flint, Michigan, and he's cool with that anyway. Though Colombia is a beautiful country, justice and law enforcement is a for-profit enterprise there and they still have the same old problems with drug lords and exploding cars.

I loved southern California- it was everything the Beach Boys said it was, and more. It was awesome to live there but I would only visit, California's in a helluva mess right now.

When I have my fortune, I will buy a couple thousand acres of farmland and farm it. Farming is the last self-determinate lifestyle out there, everything else is dependent on the fickle opinions of others.

San Francisco: Been there, loved it. It's a very open minded and almost European city.
Huh? No it isn't. It is pure American. Try taking a girl out at night there. She probably won't even be old enough to get into the bar!

Wow, you are quite the armchair traveler. Drug lords and exploding cars. Do me a favor and use your passport. You might be surprised. Things are not always as the media (especially the American media) portrays them. You have a better chance of being killed on the roads of America than you do getting blown up or shot in Colombia or Moscow. Yet, you still drive in America.

I suspect the original poster is living right in America. Anyone familiar with Colombia would not say what he did.

I also own a house in Los Angeles and would probably end up living there. And yes, I've seen Flint. It's a **** place, but at least you won't get killed because you saw the wrong guy in the eye, or because the guy woke up angry and decided to kill a random guy in the street.

Quite wrong. I'm still here in Medellin in Colombia and been here for 21 years. I also believe this place is hell itself. Somebody from Medellin won't usually tell you this because they're very wary of the image they're trying to show to the whole world but when you're part of this society, you realize there's more under the surface, some stuff they don't tell you if you're a foreigner. You find out this place is also called Metrallo and the City of the everlasting gunfight, you find out the police has pacts with every other criminal. You wake up at 2 am because a lost bullet just took your window down. You have to bolt out of a nightclub because this guy thinks you're flirting with a woman you've never seen. You also happen to remember that you used to have 9 cousins but you currently have 4 because the others were killed or had to flee from the city. You go out for a walk and get stabbed because you don't have money. You learn that bellavista, the city's biggest jail is on 800% capacity and they let rapists and thieves walk away because there's not enough space for so many rotten beings.
If you come here to visit, they're gonna love you, they're gonna tell you that this is heaven on earth but if you're not, you're in for snide comments. I know this city well, I used to walk around downtown with my uncle, watching all the faces and things that they don't even show us. I stopped when he got killed by a hit-n-run bus.

You don't say that when you're all safe in another country. When you're away from the place, you happen to turn the page and think in retrospect. You're no longer affected by all those things.

Big Jimbo... have YOU been to Colombia?

Just the fact alone that this place is ground zero for burundanga and the production of scopolamine makes the place scary enough...

And before you ask, yes, I have been to Colombia. And amazingly, I have an easier time there than your normal Caucasian tourist, because... I'm not Caucasian. The horror stories are true.

I've been to Costa Rica (wonderful place), Colombia, Argentina, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, and Cuba... and I'd have to say that Colombia was probably the scariest one with Costa Rica followed by Cuba as the best experiences I've had in Latin America.

Oh, and yes, I have been to Europe.
Being a dual citizen did have its advantages at many points so I saw a LOT of it as well.

But... back to the topic... if I move from Jersey, I'm picking San Francisco... the easiest social atmosphere EVER. People who live in San Francisco and say they have no friends, are just simply not walking out of their apartments.

Boise, Idaho. Nice size, cultured, good jobs, good economy (considering), outdoor activities. Mild weather with four seasons and little humidity. Very little snow. NO BUGS! Low crime rate. I travel alot, and Boise is the best by far. That's why I live here. I just got back from Miami Beach yesterday. The weather was better in Boise! Plus, everyone here speaks English. I don't have to speak Spanish.

Would have to be South Beach... as a matter of fact i am working hard so that i have enough money to move there...

Living by a nice beach and possibly having my own boat so i can go out in the ocean and fish whenever appeals to me... Not to mention all the hot babes you see walking in bikinies and all the party places. This is assuming i am rich one day.

San Francisco for me. Nice mild climate, beautiful Bay, friendly locals for a city of that size, nice Oriental women everywhere. To have an apartment overlooking the Bay or be in a high rise near Japantown would be a dream. I've travelled to many cities around the world, and SF is one of my favourites.

Wow, since I already live in SoCal it's hard to think of a better area. It's also hard to think of another place since I've only lived in California, both the Bay Area and SoCal.

I'd really need to travel the US before I can give an answer.

Peace and Quiet

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

First of all, a Caucasian is someone from the Caucasus mountains. Think Chechen, Ingush, Armenian, Georgian, etc. In Russian the term is: Kavkaz.

Some Colombian girls. Sorry, but they all look like "gringos" to me. If you are not white I think you would feel uncomfortable among certain Colombian demographic groups.

Again, driving your car in America to some boring job is much more dangerous than the people in Colombia! That is a fact.

california would be the place for me. i'm kinda sick of the minus 40 weather up here in the winter. but the summers there is no better place than alberta as it seems to barely rain. if it does its for only like an hour to cool things down.

To whoever that wanted the spanish archeticture i'd recommend checking San Clemente, CA.

As for me i'd probably say santa cruz or san francisco, the people there are way more legit than the SoCalians and the nature/beaches there is beautiful!
