No offense but most of what you get over there about US politics is just propaganda and not real news with any insight. The democrats had control of the house and senate through 2010, remember? The Republicans were more than happy to support Obama's attacks on the right to a trial by jury and domestic spy programs, believe me.
lol the irony here is that you could not possibly be any more incorrect tha you are

the BBC? lol propaganda? BBC is probably the best most non biased news organization int he world brah. It's without question the most respected.

In the last 10 years i have seen fox news actually go from a pretty fair and balanced TV network that provided a different different views of opinions on topics to a all hate obama all the time mantra of the last 4 years and it's obviously to anyone who has half a brain

Of 22 swing state polls released yesterday Obama won 19, tied in 2, and Romney led in 1. .this election will be over by the time the evening news goes off on tuesday. the fact that your "non propaganda" based TV networks have you seriously believing otherwise is case in point

Fox is as "fair and balanced" as CNN, MSNBC, and CBS.lol Obama has TONS of pro-Obama news media, shouldn't Romney have at least one @$$ kisser? we aren't asking for 50/50 here, just one news outlet where I don't have to listen to everyone kiss Obama's @$$ no matter what he does.

I'm not sure how the election is going to turn out. I don't think it'll be a blowout for either side, honestly.

what makes you think i watch either of them? anyone who frankly gets their news from a 24 hour news station in 2012 is an idiot. all of them are paid mouth pieces.

I'll be honest and admit I watch all of the news stations from time to time. I especially enjoy watching Chris Mathews get an on-air hardon for Obama during his show "Hardball". Hard being the operative word I guess.lol I enjoy watching to see just how blatantly obvious the left-wing news media is and what lengths they will go to, to protect Obama.

I am not saying i don't EVER watch news networks, i am saying I don't actually use them to gather factual infomration. lol I like Megyn Kelly and if my wife isn't around i might flip the channel if she's on. I watch bill mahar weekly. in fact i'm going to watch friday's episode later tonight.

i am saying though, when i watch them i an watching them for entertainment purposes only. that's what it is basically. i am not trying to gather factual information from bill mahar or from maddow or from megyn kelly

Well I'm here to tell you there is such a magic wand. Something that will make you almost completely irresistible to any woman you "point it" at. Something guaranteed to fill your life with love, romance, and excitement.

No, I certainly don't know that "no matter what" Romney is better than Obama. But then again I vote on years of research into the real powers behind the two major parties, not "red team uber alles" and "deep down" feelings. I do know that to the extent there is a difference its like the difference between Hitler and Stalin or The Rack vs having my fingernails plied off. If I thought one of them was a meaningful "lesser" evil I might vote for one but its just pick your poison. Either are utterly intolerable and could destroy the country in 4 years.
Your solution to the problems America faces is what? Not to vote? What is that going to fix? I think it was said yesterday in my local newspaper that only about 50% of Americans actually vote. If people really cared about their life and the state of the country, that number should be way higher. The presidential race has typically always been Democrat or Republican but what stops you from forming your own political party or voting for other parties? Even if they don't win, they can gain popularity.

American democracy, or rather democracy itself, is a disappointing system and I think the lack of people that vote testifies to that account.

The mere fact that all of the stations refuse to broadcast the issues that matter (such as assassination of american citizens without due process) shows just how corrupt ALL of the major networks are.

That includes networks like BBC, NBC, CBS, ABC and Fox.

What's the point of arguing medical care or the best way to steal other people's money when you can get murdered or imprisoned without due process?

Seriously, I don't get what the fvk is wrong with you people.

Right, because wanting your Governmen to live within its means makes one a nutcase.

Obama had plenty of chances to sign bills that would improve the economy. He just chose to not bother and blame the Republicans. But of course, a Socialist Europe would never point that out.

Which of course was a direct result of forcing banks to loan to the poor because "owning a home is a right". Oh, and let's not forget the non-Capitalist system of setting interest rates.

In order to blame capitalism, first you have to have a capitalist system.

Current school system is biased toward Statist Socialism.

Is it any wonder?

Individual = bad
Government = good

Obama revealed his hand on Day 2 when he re-appointed/promoted the same Bush staffers/incumbents who created the problem. Namely Paulson, Bernanke, Geithner, etc.

Just chooses a different method of serving his masters, who are most certainly not the American People, regardless of what the Constitution says.

1. America is (was) a Republic, democratic only in its election system.

2. The disenfranchisement with voting is the result of "First Past the Post" winner-takes-all election system.

It encourages strategic voting (voting Against, rather than voting For) and inevitably results in a Two-Party system.

That two-party system calcifies until you are essentially voting for two different factions of the same Party. The result will be the same because the incumbents/lobbyists play on both sides of the field.

There are better voting systems out there which provide incentive for diversity and voting For rather than Against, but USA does not have that system anymore.

Also remember that the "exceptionalism" of the USA system is that State elections matter more than Federal elections, to that State. That is what separates you from all other nations. If you aren't thrilled about voting Federal, then at least vote in State elections.

..

I doubt you will return to that system without a bloody revolution in which the incumbents and lobbyist system is forcibly purged. That is unlikely since they control the strings of power, including the potent mainstream media which shapes the opinions of most citizens.

good luck

I'm voting for a third party. Maybe people don't vote because they know what a rigged game it is? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lA7B3vpIlmQ
That video is funny but it reflects reality.

What I think is, if the media doesn1't let candidates say anything out of the ususual, without branding them as radicals or weirdos, they will just end up saying the same thing, which is whatever can't draw negative press. You know what Obama believes, and you know exactly what Romney believes too, but they can't be honest, cuz it will hurt them in the end.
