Friend of a friend. First date goes well. All good vibes, ends with a kiss. I drop her off.

Next night, texting as follows:

Me: Hahaha killer plan, I'm taking you with me next time. Just got to my friend's birthday party if you want to come out.

Her: Yes I will be your business partner. I'm with my family getting drinks for the night then going to sleep. If you're not busy tomorrow... movie night


Next night, more banter goes on for a while, eventually I ask because she wasn't bringing up the subject again

Me: is it still movie night?

Her: if u want u can come over.


She has always been so enthusiastic in our past exchanges, this is a definite change of tone. It seems so noncommittal, as if she doesn't want to hurt my feelings by saying no but at the same time doesn't really want me there.

Am I overanalyzing? Being a *****? Probably should just get over there and make it happen? Or pull back and make her chase, handle it the opposite of how most guys would as they'd probably jump at the chance in a heartbeat.

Forum, give me your wisdom. My (text) game sucks.

ROFL! You know we're in bad shape in this forum when "you can come over" from a female leads to guys analyzing like if it was some engineering problem.

Female says "you can come over" = Take a nice shower, put on your best clothes, brush your teeth real well, put on some cologne, take some gum with you, take a condom or 2 and get in your car and take care of business don't waste no time!

Problem in the original post seems to be....too much texting. Seen this in a few posts, too much message/text conversation thats...kind of boring conversation, why is this conversation occuring? Girls like less in the way of messaging, they like space, they like to get a message and then lie in bed with a smile, not get another one and another one and another one, it makes each one less valuable.

she doesn't want to sit there texting you all day, she wanted a couple texts, make an arrangement, then see you. but the texts never stopped coming!

Jafyk should have persisted as that seemed to be a classic case of Last Minute Resistance (LMR), which a lot of the chaps on here forget about.

Simply give it a few minutes and try again, if there is a next time.

The chances of that happening are slim though, bro. If a chick is inviting you to HER house, then it's obvious she is comfortable enough with you to have sex. Girls ain't stupid. They know what goes down in the dark.
If the girl in question is on some cat and mouse games like the one you listed, then forget her. I'd leave right there on the spot and not look back. If she wants you she will make it happen, or let you make it happen
