It's actually more up to the girl than many of you guys think. Some girls absoulutely WILL NOT say it first but will strongly desire you to say it. Those are the ones that drop all those hints. The other type (broad, broad catagories here) will say it first and this is most definitely a FANTASTIC thing. But to wait for her to say it first is like waiting for FEMA aid, there's a good chance it wont come.

The guy's interest level should always appear lower than the girl's. Protect the heart at all costs!

It's not totally about protecting your heart, but stepping back and being real with yourself. See, men are supposed to be the ones that are always in control of their feelings. You feel angry, but you chill out when you know you're about to go too far. You get depressed somedays, but you get up and do something about it. Controlling your feelings applies to teeling a girl you love her also. You think about how long the two of you have been going out or if its really even love. Two weeks to two months is just really you and her having fun and just being infatuated. Its not really until the relationship starts to get deeper that you can even say it since you haven't even found out if she really has everything you're looking for. Point is, that until you are sure you even want to deal with her for more than 1 day at a time, or she can listen to every lame story you have and still be interested, you should hold back saying it for till you're sure
