Yeah, that and inflation is actually caused by supply (or in this case lack there of) and demand. It’s not caused by conspiracy to “devalue the US dollar.”
You mean to say other countries in the BRICS alliance *aren't* acting together to undermine the Dollar's status as the World's Reserve Currency? The less countries have to hold dollars in reserve to conduct business amongst themselves, the less global demand there is for the dollar, and the higher prices there are for imports into the U.S.

Hi Billy,
Yes of course they want to be the Fiat currency of choice, and enjoy the benefits thereof, the Chinese in particular...But to their chagrin despite their machinations, the mighty dollar goes from strength to strength...Is the Argentine choosing to adopt the RNB,the Euro, the Petro Dollar?...Naah!

Hi Haley Baron,
" The alternative is precious metals"...that can suffer inflationary pressure too....The mighty Roman Empire saw its gold and Silver coinage regularly debased by the addition of less Noble metals...Then Diocletion came along and called in all the currency purified and recycled it,was stable for 900+years...Can't happen today?...Hmm well back in the early Seventies the Germans were so suspicious about US scruples that they sent a team of Metallurgists to Ft Worth to test their Ingots!

I hope you're right but unfortunately I fear you are wrong.
Imagine we will have waves of inflation over this decade like they did in the 70's with extended periods of time where it feels like it has been defeated then comes back. I do not think they have the resolve to stick with higher rates for extended periods. A lot of people do not realize that lowered inflation does not mean prices are coming down but just increasing at a slower rate.

A lot of people aren't aware of this, but there's been a lot of pro crypto stuff going on in politics lately.

The president of Argentina that was recently elected, or prime minister or whatever his title is called official, is big on crypto from what I've read. El Salvador not that long ago made BTC legal tender, and I know there are several more that have done something similar or are in the works of potentially lining this up. Granted, these are much smaller nations.

However, it's even starting to be on the stage of American politics. Vivek Ramaswamy not that long ago mentioned that the U.S dollar needed to be backed or something along those lines and specifically mentioned Bitcoin, which I thought was interesting. This being something you'd see in say Niger or El Salvador lol is not really all that impressive, but for it to now be on the American political stage says a lot in my opinion. Interestingly, Ramaswamy is not quite 40, so an older Millennial, and seems to understand the challenges of the future, new technology like AI and crypto, etc. Most of the politicians that are honestly in control of our country, particularly on the federal level, are overwhelmingly Boomers and maybe some Gen xers. Hell, Biden technically isn't even a boomer lol because he is slightly too old haha being born in 1942 and Trump is technically a boomer being born in 1946.
