Alright, I'm sure alot of the more advanced guys on the forum have a group of foods that they consume on a daily or regular basis.

I know to eat 5-6 meals a day of smaller portions, but sometimes I just plain run out of ideas of what to eat.

I'm not looking for a daily meal plan I more or less just want the top 10 foods you eat daily to stay in shape and grow.

Here is a list of what I usually consume:

Salmon
Chicken Breast
Steak (cheaper tougher cuts cause I'm poor)
Eggs
Whole Wheat Toast with PB
Random assortment of veggies (Asparagus with steak, peas with chicken, etc.)
Pasta (whole wheat noodles)
Turkey Sandwhiches
Brown Rice

That's actually a fairly good list, got most bases covered there. Add some olive oil and fish oil in there and I don't see why you'd need anything else for growth.

Ground beef is cheaper than steak btw. You don't have to buy the super lean stuff either.

the difference between knowing diet and executing is huge

write down what you plan on eating as well as writing what you actually ate

prepare meals in advanced and freeze them

first focus on getting your calories right for a week...then once you can manage that try adjusting your macros...then after that micors ect ect

baby steps

Just eat what you feel like really. Ive gotten so used to eating good food it actually taste good now.

For instance, want some chicken, there you go.

Feel like tuna?

Eggs? Want a turkey sandwich? There is just so much stuff you can eat its hard to run out of ideas, just keep that mind set and you should be able to stick with eating right easily.

Looks fine to me...how about fruit as well?

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Get creative!

The wonderful thing about those foods is that you can't really go wrong. Make any combination of the above and it's still relatively clean.

Here's my suggestions: Get some spices. Chinese five spice, Cheyenne, garlic butter, chicken and redmeat dry rubs, and anything else you can get your hands on. Try mixing things around adding spices. Look online for recipes as well.

Here's one of my favorites:
Make some stirfry (You do know how to do that right?) adding the chinese five spice into it. Add some cheyenne to the meat before cooking, and make a sauce to go with it by boiling down some milk and margerine. Add corn starch afterwards to thicken it a little bit.

Add a little sauce to the meat and rice, and put it in a tortilla. Grill the tortilla with everything in it so it will stay closed. Maybe cut up some pico de gallo (chicken lips) and mix that in too.

The cheap cuts are actually better for this, since there is less emphasis on the beef and more the taste overall.

I'll so this with a full ribeye steak and 2 cups of rice and some veggies. What you don't eat keeps well for another meal, and it makes 3-4 big tortillas full of good food.

Sure, it might sound disgusting mixing things, but it's delicious. Trying random things like that is what keeps you from getting bored. You'll also become a pretty good cook if you keep trying different things.

For the turkey sandwiches, try putting the slices in a frying pan and making them crispy. It'll smell like bacon, but it'll be like a hot sandwich and taste better.

Best of all, it's hard to **** things up so bad it's inedible. You get to eat your mistakes.

Love the replies guys.

My problem that I'm starting to see is that I don't put the foods into enough rotation. I may eat chicken for 3 days in a row, leading me to almost despise it after a while. When I despise great food, I eat bad, which is a no-no!

I'm really getting into Indian food (heavy use of Curry), any sites for good Indian recipes?
