I'm 24 and I "gave up" 3 years ago.

Focused on my career and my interests.

Whenever I need sex I just pay a hooker, and I have plenty of cash for that.

Overall I'm pretty happy, though there's the occasional feeling of depression when I think of "what I might have gotten if I'd kept going with the whole PUA thing".

But then I figure that I would have gone through so much discomfort and struggle, for so little gain, and lost so much money and career opportunities that it just wouldn't be worth it.

Even the struggle of the corporate world is more enjoyable than PUA, because you can learn, understand, and gain mastery of skills, and plan for the future.

It feels like real success, that you earned.

I lack the courage and the motivation to try this stuff any further.

Nature has played a fine joke on me: it gave me the brains, the looks, even the wits (when I'm around close friends/familiy), but made be socially inept (especially around girls).
I'm not boasting; I've been called handsome, hot, charming, smart etc. many times before.

I've also had many, many girls who were attracted to me (probably more than the average Joe), but I always fvcked those chances up. Every ****ing chance.

You're having trouble accepting those traits you list there.

So here I am with the same experience of a 1 year old. Yep, that bad.
It hurts me a lot, but maybe I should admit defeat.

The guys that achieved great things have only one thing in common: they never gave up, and neither should you!

I cannot internalize the fact that a girl could actually feel lust towards me. When one does, I cannot escalate. When I feel lust towards a girl, I feel ashamed to admit it.

Self-loathing to the max. You're having a deep issue of accepting yourself. How can you expect a girl to love you if you don't even love yourself?

I was constantly thinking about the past failures and saying to myself that I could have done better or that, if I were given the chance to relive my live, I would definitely do it better. But that's bollocks.

Looking back, especially on your failures, is useless.

In my experience, you can't really "master" PUA, because at a basic level, it's all about manipulating other people in order to get what you want, and it's damn near impossible to consistently manipulate other people.

People have complex personalities (yes, even the dumbest) and you just can't second-guess what they might do next.

For example, when a woman rejects you, you often don't really know WHY she rejected you. You can guess. There are a million environmental factors that might be responsible. But you can't really know FOR CERTAIN.

But when you fail in business, you KNOW why you failed. There are ways to find out, and then learn from the mistake and improve.

And the MASTERY comes when you find tools and techniques that work CONSISTENTLY and PREDICTABLY.

That's when you get to sit back and enjoy and admire your creation. Just like god on the 7th day. (I'm an atheist BTW).

But I just can't get that kind of satisfaction with women, because there's no technique or collection of techniques on earth that CONSISTENTLY gets women to strip naked!

The process of seducing women puts women in charge from the very start, because you have to rely on THEM to consent. There's no consistent way to manipulate them, therefore, being a PUA doesn't really give you "power", it just gives you bunch techniques, all of which have the same probability of succeeding or failing than anything else you might have done.

The nice thing about money is that is DOES get consistent results.

If I have a million dollars, I can always take out $1000, and get a gorgeous looking prostitute to have sex with me.

No magic tricks or games or special hats or whatever the latest PUA fashion is.
