I really need a cheer me up, my life just went to hell in an instant. Turns out the college I attend ****ed up billing and I owe them around 1000 euros in 1 go, which I don't have.

I came back yesterday from the Sziget festival in Hungary, found a stack of bills. On top of that found out that I'm going to lose a substantial part of my income, which is the part that I used to save money off for vacations and travelling and partially to live from. So I probably won't be able to travel for a while AND really have to pay attention to how I spend my money and then to top it off, the girl I was dating and fell in love with, lied about a lot of things to me.

When I returned from a quick toilet break, I found her crying and shivering on the couch. After she fessed up a few things, I walked back to the my bathroom, got her hairbrush, took her shoes and dumped it all in front of her with the message to get the **** out of my house. Each and every time I see to lose myself into a girl, they turn out to either lie or do stuff that breaks my thrust in them.

So now I'm back to being in financial problems, heartbroken and no plates. Cold approaches really don't seem to work with Dutch people for some reason, because every time I try, I hardly get a response or a really short crappy conversation. Maybe I'm bad at it, but I've never actually had a good conversation from a cold approach.

Here's a quote from a friend that got me through some tough times.

"Look on the bright side... at least you're not charged with 2nd degree murder"

I like to use a quote a buddy of mine told me that gets me through tough times:
"Work hard, be cool, the hardship is only temporary."

The way I interpret it, whether it be school or your job, work hard and be the good reliable employee/student. Be cool. While ur doing your work, be that uplifting fun guy to be around. And what ever struggles you are going through, its only temporary. The better times are ahead.

Really! Things got a little more expensive this year and you can't vacation and you broke up with your girlfriend. Welcome to the real world.

Are you a girl who needs to vomit her emotions?

So you are 1000 EUR in debt, and you claim this causes your life to 'go to hell'

You really need to get some perspective.

At least you have a job, be grateful

You sound like quite the girl, "But now I have to cut back and won't be able to afford my designter clothes for a while!'

Your problem (or lackthereof) can be solved with this epic quote from Kobe Bryant: 'Just man the hell up, I don't see what the problem is.'

Hey, I'm new here. This is my very first post.

What I like to do when I get really down is watch a good ol' school action movie. A MAN action movie like The Expendables or Undisputed 3, not a GIRLY action movie like Resident Evil or Charlie's angels. Never watch GIRLY action movies. That will depress you more in my opinion.

When I watch an old school action movie, it always puts things into perspective and makes me say things like,"Holy crap! Jason Statham's girlfriend just left him for another guy who is now physically abusing her! And I thought my problems were bad!".

My point is, these old school action heroes have bigger problems than we do, and they take it like a man and deal with it like men do. It really makes our problems seem smaller.

Give it a try! Hope this cheers you up some.

PS: I am not telling people to resort to violence like these action heroes do, just take the bad times like they do.
