Just came across this site a few days ago. I think it's great, have spent quite a bit of time reading through the forums as well as th DJ bible. A lot of good tips,some of which I've learned on my own over the years and a lot of new ones I'm going to try out for sure. I'm going to do the DJ bootcamp starting here in the next couple days. Is anyone else into giving it a whirl? Either way I'll keep you guys posted on what's going to happen. :box:

So I read through most of Walden's journal. How many people actually finish this? My motivation for wanting to do the BC is similar to his. I thought that if I post my progress here it would keep me motivated to carry on and finish BC. Not sure if it will be as detailed as his though.
I've been busy the last couple years,mostly with my career and work. I'm still doing that but I need to do this BC for me. I've had gf's and dated but never tried anything like this before. You know, this whole approach and attitude of being a DJ. I can relate to a lot of what I've read so far. I'm outgoing and quite social but there's definetly room for improvement. Boot Camp Week 1
So I got out and did the excercises for week 1. Made lots of eye contact, I usually do this anyway so it wasn't to bad. I did focus on making EC with HB's. It went pretty well actually. Got good EC back as well as smiles and hi's.
The "Hi' part took me a bit longer to do but I still got it done. So Out of 50 hellos I got 40 replies and 11 of those where from HB's. I even started off a few convos, so it was all good.
One of the things I did and also read about in one of player Supreme's posts was to hang out or grab a seat in a busy place with lots of people traffic and just observe. I did most of this excercise at a couple of malls while shopping for some new clothes, it was fun and that's the main thing. I also went out to an area in my city where there's a lot of restraunts and patios.
Confidence is everything though. If that's what you exude than those are the type of people that will be attracted to you. I also read week 1 bootcamp again.
So overall it went pretty well, next week should be interesting, be a little harder but we'll see how it goes.

Bootcamp Week 2
I was pretty busy this past week but still manged to get out and chat up some strangers. I chat with people all the time so I basically picked people out and walked right up to them and started chatting, basically cold approaches. I had a couple of good conversations but I would say that the average was just over 3 minutes.
I had convos with 2 hb6's and 2 hb7's, got a number from hb7. Was a bit harder to do but I'm getting more comfortable. Could have done a bit better I think but I left it to the last couple days.
Did mange to get to the gym as well a couple times too, getting into my regular routine.
Overall it wasn't a bad week but it wasn't great either, I have to work a little harder!

bootcamp week3
So I went out solo sarging twice this past week. This was harder than I thought it would be but I manged to do it. Didn't get any numbers though, I didn't try # closing either. I just focused on the convo, it went pretty well. Got over some of the approach anxiety. These where all hb7,8,& 9. I'm pretty good at c&f cause I can sure make them laugh without trying too hard. I haven't done the clubs yet for any of these assignments so this weekend I'm going to sarge a couple of clubs. There's a lot going on so this should be fun. I'm looking forward to it. :woo:

They where friendly so I hung around their table. We got a lot of people coming around our table. At least 3 hb9's but everybody was having a good time so I never bothered trying to game them. I got in some good convo and kino with one of them anyway.
What do you guys think about that? Should I have tried to # close?
Anyway, about 6-10 beer later I hit the dance floor and approached this trio of hb8's. The first one was open and fun, the second one was a bit shorter, around 5'4" I would say, ( I'm 6'2"). The third one totally avoided me, the BS was up for sure. I grinded into her a couple times but she just pushed me off. Anyways, I had my fun with the shorter one, I was grinding her, kiss closing and everything else. The other chic later on tells me that she's shy so I felt bad and a bit of a perv. She seemed to enjoy it though. It was great though, I loved it!
There was a a hb9 and a hb8 sitting at the tabe beside us, we exchanged EC and smiles. The hb9 was a smoking brunnette, I was flirting with her and said hi but since I was with this group I just let it slide. I guess that's the AFC still in me. Some other guys came along, the lesson being that he who hesitates is lost.
I think that in clubs you kinda have to go with the flow, I think that had I tried # closing I would have come across as desperate. I danced with a couple other hb's, but like I said, everyone was just having a good time.
What do you guys think about AFC behavior in clubs? I noticed a bit of that from guys this weekend. The night before I saw this hb10 blonde basically babysitting her drunk boyfriend and another dude who was crying, litererally.
The vibe I get from chics, most of them is that they're suspicious of me, like I'm a player. Who cares though, I had great time out this weekend even though I never got any # closes. I may run into some of these people in the future.

Since weeks 4,5,6, & 7 are connected I'll be staying at this stage for a while anyway. I got out sarging a couple times this week, I still need to work on my approaching, It's coming though. I set a goal for 100 approaches over the next 3 months. The main thing is getting yourself out there. I also read up on Gunwitch's method and tried a couple things, he's right on the money. Him and Player Supreme, their methods make a lot of sense, that's like my style too. So I'll be posting FR for the next little while.
