I need to be more sociable

I'm naturally not that sociable of a guy. Not really because I am shy or anything, just because I like to listen more than I like to talk. I like absorbing information rather then spewing it out. Now, this is my downfall when it comes to women and just meeting other people in general. Sure I know pretty much everyone in my classes, but not on a level that I would actually call them up on the weekend and ask if they want to hang out.

So basically, I want to know: How can I be more social? An example, there's this nice girl that sits behind me in precal first thing in the morning. I'm not really too attracted to her, probably wouldn't want to persue a relationship with her, but it would be nice to talk to her a little more often. What can I say?

Well if he hasn't talked to her I don't think the last part of that would suite too well. She'd just be like who the hell is this guy?

You have to make yourself known first, in my opinion anyways...
You'll get a more friendlier response like
"haha Of course!"
and you just be like ":nono: now now settle down, don't get too horny "

just play the game like you would with any other girl. its pretty much a cold approach, which could be harder since your in school with her. you could use the CF thing, or just plain out make an observation about her. all you gotta do is take 3 deep breaths before you see her, tell yourself you got the situation under control and just talk and SMILE alot (but not like you got wood)
