You're crazy. The eye is one of the easiest things to inflict damage upon. It is completely unprotected. Why do you think rape defense courses tell women to gouge the eyes of the attacker? I have a damage retina in my left eye that came from an impact injury when I was a kid. It doesn't take much to detach or damage a retina. And a thumb poke is one of the least of your worries. How about a roundhouse kick where the toe goes into your eye. I've seen some close calls with that.

Boxing cheap?? I got a bit inspired by this thread and looked for some training, closest is 30 minutes away for $300 per "level" of training. (3 levels)

COOL!!! CAN U GIVE ME A BLACK BELT? THAT WOULD BE SO MUCH EASIER THAN PUTTING IN 20 YEARS OF HARD WORK AND BRUTAL COMPETITION LIKE I HAD PLANNED.
