that we can't be sure, I had employeers(bussiness owners) refuse legal advice, because it was "cheap" to do what they was doing, also note sometimes company do things like this because even if one or two do sue it and they lost it would still be cheap then doing by the book. They may be right or wrong, but that team has undoubtedly previously advised the company what their best legal course of action is regarding the vaccine issue…
This. You stood your ground and made your decision. Nobody forced you to do anything. The price was your job, and it sounds like you are at peace with that.
This is a good reminder that politics and government have nothing to do with personal freedom. They can't grant it or take it away. However, every choice carries a cost.

It should never be sold cheap, if at all.Key point for the younger guys and newer posters - with freedom comes responsibility and consequences. Every man has his price.
I & the GF both work in health care. We have contingency plans in case our employers try & force the vacc. We will, under NO circumstances, take it.Thanks but I doubt they'll sign that document. Unfortunately my company has their own legal team in house.
Smart to gather data. Even though we are talking about “100s” out of over 300 million doses.CDC To Hold "Emergency Meeting" After 100s Suffer Heart Inflammation Following COVID Vaccines

A good reminder that you have made the right choice.
Do you work around elderly, immunocompromised, or otherwise unhealthy patients?I & the GF both work in health care. We have contingency plans in case our employers try & force the vacc. We will, under NO circumstances, take it.
It's not a Vaxx, not approved, nor does it protect you from catching or spreading rona. Firing someone for not wanting to be a lab rat who could potentially die is where we're at in society. And people don't think we're at war.Do you work around elderly, immunocompromised, or otherwise unhealthy patients?
I'm against employers requiring the vax in 99% of cases but, in my ltc facility, I had to fire 3 people for not getting the vaccine. We had 50+ deaths (and many more long term complications) because of COVID and I cannot fathom anyone who worked through that time who would want to risk it again.
I do think bedside healthcare workers should get vaccinated or find other work. Part of the bargain when you sign up.
The Florida state is already running a huge lawsuit trial against several employers including the luxury liner cruse ship companies because of their corona passport ban. I heard that today on CNBC as they were talking about it.I'm seeing a massive amount of lawsuits already taking place.
Analyze what he said to you. Hahaha. He used words associated with negative connotation to combine them with your decision. This making you “wrong”.
This is called gas lighting. Minimum wage low end complainer = someone who doesn’t want the vaccination despite the FDA refusing to pass it.
You fell for it. You explained yourself. Don’t let disgusting humans manipulate you like that. Next time just say how cute and entertaining his comment was. But you have a different paradigm and it’s gracious for him to worry about you. Pat him on the head and move on.
A lot of wisdom here.So let’s look at that for a second. A person normally chooses their political leaning based on their mental and spiritual disposition.
So what kind of a human being feels the need to knock another flat based on that other person’s belief system? See, I can let someone think whatever they want, including you. You won’t persecute, degrade or even try to make them feel bad just based on how they think. He can’t do that.
So what kind of human being seeks to do this? A good person or a degenerate. The social veneer protects him and his ilk. The skill he uses is actually feminine by nature. Know this. Do not take this type of stuff lightly. It’s designed to make you smaller. Politics have nothing to do with it. His politics is just a reflection of his degraded self.
A man can have all the women in the world but it doesn’t mean they have honor or be an individual point of light in the world. He’s a degenerate with a keyboard. Don’t you ever forget it.
........ , and it makes it seem like we COULD find common ground sometimes (and do), but that awful attitude that TheFinalLine described is still there waiting to tear people down. That is my biggest problem with so many liberals, it isn't all of their logic, it's just their awful, sh*tty attitude to anyone who doesn't agree with them. Many reasons for it, and I won't get into all of them here.This.

I would not recommend anyone who actually needs the income from their job to make principled political stands in the workplace. Of course, the calculus is much different for a man with "fvck you money."

Good decision @Hank Moody .A friend of mine - a suit, let's say - recently asked me to come work for him at this big company in another city. My response?
"Work FOR you? Hah. Listen. We're friends, and I want to keep it that way. Having a boss means having deadlines, being told what to do, and having someone occasionally look over your shoulder. I hate all of those things. So, I'd rather we just stay friends."
Living with them for any extended period also has the same effect.Good decision @Hank Moody .
Working for your friends is always like asking for trouble in most cases and most of the time you will highly likely lose the friendship over time.
It is simply not worth it.
Yes, an intelligent decision of the both legal and common sense variety. Every positive measure needs to be taken to produce the hospital’s main business mission goal. Saving lives…Houston Methodist staffers' lawsuit challenging hospital's COVID vaccine mandate dismissed
