So I quit porn around 6 months ago.

I haven't watched any porn at all, not even a clip & I feel zero temptation to watch it.

I haven't jacked off in around 6 months either.. Yes I probably could use my imagination & bust one out, however since quitting porn, I simply haven't had the urge to do that.

The only time I will bust a nut is when I actually have sex with a girl.

In the last 6 months I have slept with several chicks, however that is the only time I've unleashed the Semen.

How do I feel?

Pretty damn good.
Breaking the Porn addiction feels awesome. It's actually a liberating feeling, when you are no longer dependent on porn.

That shameful feeling after jacking off, no longer exists.

Overall I feel good, I feel confident.. I'm cold approaching alot more. I seem to be getting much more attention off girls, prior to when I was spilling the Semen.

The first 2-3 weeks of semen retention are difficult.. However just like quitting any addiction, over time it does gets easier.

Right now I feel good.

I too am trying to avoid porn and j*erking off and have a couple questions, but first.

Is 5 weeks a reasonable dry spell if you’re only saving it for real s*x? Without regular plates but still actively “dating”/trying to get laid, how often are we all getting new women? I’m pretty darn busy, but if I’m not getting laid every week or 2, I start to get depressed lol.

Also, every few days without busting a nut, I’ll get blue balls and physically need to get it out to move on with my day. Anybody else? Ever tried to just tough it out through blue balls and see what happens?

Well done to those who are no fapping.
I too started no fapping a few months ago, one of the hardest habits I’ve had to break.
I was worried I’d had a few weeks worth of retention and been on a couple of dates with a chick, not expecting to bang her I hadn’t knocked one out beforehand, thought it would’ve been over in less than a minute, surprised I managed to last a while.
I’m definitely a no fap convert, like the feeling of being full.

So this how I believe your best approach should be.

Avoid porn completely.. The most important part of no fap is getting to the point where you do not need porn any longer.

There for you should hold your semen in for atleast 5-6 after this period your brain should have rewired & detoxed to the degree where you no longer feel the urge to watch porn.

From this point onwards it's upto you on how you handle things

Option 1 - If you are not getting regular sex from females at all, like for months on end.. Then I would recommend maybe after every 3-4 weeks, you jack off using your imagination only. This make things a little easier for you up until you actually get laid, or find a regular girlfriend to have sex with.

Option 2 - If you have access to puzzy or are getting laid pretty consistently, then this whole no fap process should be easy.. Simply quit the porn, do not fap at all.. Hold the Semen & never release it, unless you're having sex with the female.

Remember the end goal and the biggest prize here is.. Quitting porn addiction.

Well done @soulforge ! Very inspiring. After how long have you started seeing tangible results?
I found the first maybe 2-3 weeks to be difficult & after that it became very easy & actually a very rewarding feeling.

Remember 99% of men have never experienced what holding retaining your Semen in feels like. It's a powerful feeling.

Now all that being said, some months down the line you might hit a difficult spot, temptation, weakness.

If you do get to the point where you are likely to break your no fap streak, then I would highly advise to either bang and actual woman or jack off, using your imagination only.

This might reset you, ease the tension, then you can go back on Semen Retention immediately after.

The main goal of all this should be detoxing your brain from porn addiction.

Yes because us men pretty much our entire lives have been spilling our seed, we haven't experienced the benefits of retaining over a long period of time.

It's actually a good feeling.

My sex drive seems quite balanced. I want to have sex, I still get hard like usual..

I still find girls attractive, and i definitely want to approach them.

The significant change for me is losing that desperation. I'm more relaxed about sex, not desperately needing it.

What’s it like to not get laid in over a month?
No big deal. Because your sex drive is balanced out, your no longer desperate or thirsty for sex.. You can take it.. Or leave it.

In-fact your standards are raised higher when it comes to selecting girls for sex.

This gone by Friday I could have banged a ex fuk buddy, but decided to go out with some work mates instead.

Tomorrow night I have a date with a 7.5, so more likely end my Semen Retention streak if all goes well.

How are you handling the NARBs (no apparent reason boners)?

I can't make it more than a day or two without trying to hide a cucumber-shaped bulge 24/7. I'll rub one out just to not be showing my meat to everyone.
Haha funnily enough I don't get those often.

I think the common misconception is that overtime you will become more & more frustrated and horny, to the point your getting hard at the sight of a females ankle..

Personally I found that after a few weeks, your sex drive balances out to the point, where you are no longer thirsty or desperate for sex.

I get boners every morning.. I had this plate send me dirty text messages at work other day, and that was an instant boner.

Other than that, I don't seem to get random boners, Like what your experiencing haha

NARBs are a good thing. I like getting them. No reason to hide it.

You never sat in a meeting in your workspace and got a boner right before the end of the meeting. You get up, you see your boner printing through your pants, the woman that sat next to you sees your boner, you put your hand into your pants pocket to conceal your boner, you see your female colleague saw your boner and saw you grabbing your boner next to her.... good times!

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

The absolute worst time to get a boner is on the train system.

Driving into the city where I work is a nightmare, often I will take the train instead.

I remember getting a full on boner, however the stop where I need step was approaching.

I had walk through an entire carrage packed with people, trying to conceal the boner.

Except in highly professional work environments where women are always right, and it's, umm, impossible to hide.
Getting erections at work is a good thing. It's a sign of healthy testosterone and dopamine. I don't know how concerned women are about having their nipples get hard at work. I don't think men need to get concerned about random erections in a white collar working space. I have had erections at work and it wasn't an issue. It wasn't an issue because I have good frame. It is a biological function and I'm glad it happens. I prefer workplace erections to happen when I am seated and not having a female colleague nearby.

I am sure that a female co-worker has seen me with an erection before and it's never gotten reported to HR. A workplace erection does not seem to count as a sexual harassment violation.

Do you visit HR department often? Lol
I have had a 15+ year white collar working career and not had an HR Department claim filed against me. I think most men who work white collar have some level of concern about HR visits and harassment claims from female colleagues. That's no reflection of omega male, beta male, alpha male, or sigma male status. It is a reality of a current white collar workplace.

I have had similar situations to what @ThisIsSparta describes.

This seems about right. I have been doing no porn and no fap for the better part of a decade. Very few slipups in that near decade of time too.

I haven't watched any porn at all, not even a clip & I feel zero temptation to watch it.
I feel less temptation in general. After a few months, that temptation went away but I try to avoid content that would make me want to watch porn, including sexy pics on Instagram, sexier TV/streaming app content, and even R rated movies with sex scenes. I don't want to feel tempted to watch porn, especially if I haven't gotten laid in more than 2 weeks.

5 weeks is a reasonable dry spell. It can happen. I don't feel as good if I go more than 2 weeks without sex.

I tough it out through that. When that happens, I consider it a sign I need to increase my approaching in order to get laid if I have no sexual options at that moment.

I've quit drinking alcohol, I'm now 45 days sober. I also eliminated Caffeine during September 2023. This will be the next addiction that I want to take control of.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
