I have to vent (Florida v. Arkansas)

everyone knows I'm from little rock and I am a die hard razorback fan.

I feel like I got rapped after watching the officals in the florida v. arkansas game yesterday.

we had it. we were the better team yesterday and the officals just started making up calls.

Those calls were a bit shady, but Hogs had every chance to put the game away and they couldnt pull the trigger.

In the end the better team won, even though they did play very sloppy.

I think Alabama should b ranked number one in the nation right now. They have the most physical complete football team in NCAA at the moment. They don't excell in any one area but they don't turn over the ball and play overall inconsistantly like the rest of the teams in the top five.

The winner of the SEC championship game will go to the BCS title game.

Simple as that.

Even if Florida loses once before the SEC championship (11-1) and Alabama is undefeated going into the SEC championship (12-0) (or vice-versa) the winner of the SEC championship will go to the BCS title game.

It will be settled on the field.

I don't understand how we can play so close against them at their home stadium, and 2 of our 3 losses be to Alabama and Florida (both away games), and we're still not even considered top 25. We could easily beat at least half of the teams in the top 25.

The polls clearly focus too much on simple wins vs. losses; crazy given some of the insanely easy schedules some teams get (like Boise).

...I was just commenting on the current ranking, not about how the season was going to end up.

Though I will concede everything you stated there is true. If everything stays the same and the top three teams win out, the only sure fire team to go to the national championship will be Texas because either Florida or Alabama has to knock one or the other off.

Azanon you really anwserd your own question. Arkansas has 3 losses and that's pretty much like having a DUI on your driving record and applying for a limousine drivers spot. It MIGHT happen but it's unlikely. Only 4 teams in the top 25 have 2 losses and the only three loss team in any poll is Oklahoma and they're at number 24 or 25.

Yeah, Pryor is a punk. And OSU is a notoriously overrated football team, despite their achievements in the last 7 years. I think I still carry that flag to help justify the assload of money I spent at that school:crazy:

Arkansas played 4 undefeated teams in a row. A and M, Bama, Auburn, Florida. and split them and should have went 3 and 1.

yeah those were two really rotten calls. the suspension was well deserved since they pretty much decided the conclutions of the games. as much money as the SEC has you'd think they'd do a better job training their officiating staff.
