My first bike was like this:

in the same color:D
I was 14-15 when i bought it. I loved it.

"Lol guys, I dropped my bike last night while turning"
You will drop it a few more times, but it will not kill you. Cars can kill you so watch out.

I recommend you to practice on bumpy and crap roads. You will learn how to turn and react quickly. And the most important thing: that every little sh*t on the road can be dangerous to you. little stones, bumps, dead cat:D, ...everything.

I was thinking about getting the 250s but I skateboard, ride a bike and drive a manual subaru like crazy and I just feel like starting on something a little faster though I know everyone will hate me for it.
Any of the 2 cylinder Ninjas are good picks, or if you want to get something with character you can look at a KLR 650 or a motard.

I'll probably stick with the ninja500 since the 250 is too small for me. I hope to get it around thanksgiving christmas time :).
The Suzuki GS500 has been around for a long time, you can pick those up with low miles in great shape for cheap and you WILL drop your first bike, 100% sure, unless you don't ride.

Consider a used Ninja 250, 500 or a GS, or other clean used bike first.

yup, i personally recommend GS500 or Ninja500, the younger the bike the better but remember to find best deal.

I am telling you guys. I learned the real meaning of "Do what you love to do in life" by riding this bike. My heart literally beats when I even look at my bike and I find myself smiling when I am looking at it. Sound familiar? Yap, you do these things when you fall in love with someone. I really fell in love with my motorcycle lol. Except work, self development and study, all I think about is my bike, how to make it better, how to maintain it, reading manuals etc. I LOVE IT!
