I was in the same boat too, until I started doing front squats and overhead squats, now after a couple months of mostly focusing on these 2, Im back with the back squats

If you don't wanna hear other people's music then bring your own, o wait my bad you like to talk on your CELLPHONE. Maybe if you were lifting you can tell other ppl to turn their sh*tty music down. Who the f*ck brings their cellphones down to the lift area anyways... your the only moron I know who would bring their cell phones while their lifting.

Peter, dude, many people at the gym are confident and cheerful, and wanna socialise a bit while they're there. There's nowt wrong with socialising with those people. And then there's people who want to be left alone, which is fine and understandable. I don't make any effort to talk to them.

We don't all want to act like we're on deathrow while we're training, haha. Talking to people, as long as it doesn't get excessive, can enhance the experience, and they can spot you, etc.

I don't mind squats too much, they're hard - But that just means they're working. Better to do squats than to go to the gym and waste my time doing endless curls.

Bulgarian split squats are fun. Bar on the shoulder like a traditional squat. Bench behind you, raise one leg onto the bench so that it's supported on the front of your foot/shin. Then do your squats. Get a nice full range of motion, use heaps of muscles to balance, and it's a lighter weight (as only training one leg at a time) so there's less pressure on the back of your neck/shoulders.

LOL seriously, I do.
The pump I get from my leg / back day (squats, dead lifts) is awsome man. It trumps any pump I get from my chest and shoulder day.

It's totally counter-intuitive. If you would have told me 2 years ago that my arms would feel bigger after doing squats than they do after doing bench presses, I would have laughed at you.

Squats make my flesh throb! :woo:

I struggle with squats... I'm guessing my form is off, because my significantly weaker friends can squat more than me, despite my leg strength and size far exceeding theirs.

The amount of weight I can do is laughable, and I don't really feel like they're doing much. I look in the mirror though and my form seems fine, and my friends say it is too. I just can't understand it.

Leg presssssssss lol.
