what do you guys think of social norms? off the top of my head:

"happy birthday"
ok so you were born. so what? what is there to celebrate?

"happy thanksgiving"
I don't celebrate anything. why should I celebrate just because the media tells me to?

"nice to meet you"
really? how do you know it's nice to meet me? I could be a crazy person. I could be a rapist.

"how are you?" [and then they don't even listen to the answer]
do you really care how I am? if I dropped dead right now would you care?

"have a nice day"
do you really hope that I have a nice day? what if I don't have a nice day and I get into an accident? would you really care?

is there something wrong with me? am I overanalyzing this?

Think for yourself and live life on your terms.

lol social norms.
Social norms can suck my d/ck.

With that said,
At times you will have to play along to get along.
We are all players here aren’t we?

Furthermore,
Social norms signal
your mental health and social awareness.

Life is a game and games fun.

I dont celebrate my birthdays anymore. Maybe pouring some liquor and bump some high quality blow with my closest circle for the occasion but thats it.
Nobody gives a sh*t.
We get got and walk to our own funeral nobody will care except your parents if you still got them. your ex b!tches will continue to ride other dudes like you never existed, your friends will mourn you a bit but then you will be a faded memory into oblivion.
I suppose that's why we have grave markers, to show that we mattered for a little while.
All we got to do is harden out hearts , poke as many fine azz women that we can and keep studying the game till the casket drops

Millions of people die every year. Thousands of people die every day.

"happy thanksgiving"

You don't need a reason to have fun. A holiday is a day off of work to relax and enjoy time with friends and family or party and meet girls.

"nice to meet you"
really? how do you know it's nice to meet me? I could be a crazy person. I could be a rapist.

I don't necessarily like generic small talk either, I try to be more unique and interesting than that. I ask questions and give answers that nobody else would.

Sometimes there's nothing else to say though, hi how are you is the most neutral standard greeting.

Yeah way overanalyzing, and apparently not interested in understanding historical context. Thanksgiving has nothing to do with the media.

But a lot of the other stuff...it's called social tact, you should work on obtaining some.

Peace and Quiet

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

There is nothing wrong in being courteous to another human and show both respect and kindness.

Actually in this age with retarded smart phones, social networks, internet we seem to haven even less of that kindness. People don't even looks you in the eye anymore and are socially awkward.

In the past if someone by mistake bumped into you or stepped on your foot they would look are you and say "I'm really sorry".

Now days they don't look at you and even say fvck you its your fault...
The clerk in the drug store doesn't say hi or look at you when you are doing a purchase, looks in his/her phone instead..

No, OP; social norms do have a function we could use more of it these days in terms of showing respect and kindness to our fellow humans..

Social niceties are useful to help make society work, that's it.

Is there something wrong with you? I would think so. Why are you getting mad at people for being nice? Yes, these are empty sayings, but if you're getting mad over it and venting then you need to assess why you're mad because that is 100% on you.

of course it has to do with the media. when you were a baby you woke up one day and realized in 1621, the Plymouth colonists and the Wampanoag shared an autumn harvest feast that is acknowledged today as one of the first Thanksgiving celebrations in the colonies?

I am not mad, I just hate the insincerity of these. the person asking how are you can't care less about how I am.

No, that's stuff you learn in school and history class.

Base on your seemingly sh!tty attitude you don't seem to have much to be thankful for anyway so it probably doesn't matter much

Anger, hate, same thing. You're judging people for trying to be nice to you and very likely projecting what is your uncaring and incompassionate attitude onto others.

This sounds very much like nihilism at work, and it will torpedo any kind of meaningful relationship with others if you let it show in public, be it friendship with males or relationships with females. No one likes a sourpuss.

I am not judging the person that's trying to be nice, I am judging the meaningless statements that someone invented.

A big reason is that women need verbal mollifiers for safety concerns.

Well actually the best way to break a society and an civilization is to start breaking down the social norms and attacking what is considered "normality". that way the society will break from within. This is exactly the strategy of communism (Which both Lenin, Staling and other communists etc. lay out as strategy to break the west), and what the left is doing now to the western civilization right now. And that is why what they are doing is so dangerous.

We are under attack right now and been so for years, and so far sadly they have been succeeding.

Let me just mention a few examples, aggressive feminism and alike organizations, Black Lying Marxists, "Cancel culture", "critical race theory", racism again white people (Weirdly enough performed by white themselves too), the "gay LGBTQ army" in lack of better words and their creepy agenda where they even attack our kids and teach them that they are not the gender they were born as..., the right to free speech (Without being persecuted and thrown in jail for posting an image or thought on the internet for example), living your life as you wish.

The list goes on and on. Just to mention a few were troublesome and deeply concerning areas where we are attacked as a society and individual human beings.

Yes, gents we are at war because our social norms and standards are under attack and its time to make your stand.

Even the World economic Forum openly admit this that it is part of their strategy to break social norms of the western world, quote:
By 2030, Western Values Will Have Been Tested To the Breaking Point

So again; social norms do matter a lot!
You can be start with being friendly for your fellow human when you meet them and not buying into this bullshiet.
Stand your ground bois!

there is nothing wrong with being pleasant

I do agree however that a vast majority of people on this planet live in a pre constructed reality of do's and don'ts

it all boils down to social acceptance most humans are desperate to be accepted into the herd for obvious reasons

Most people don't like rocking the boat in any way shape or form as it could mean being expelled from the herd and having to survive on one's own ( or in todays world be unpopular )

Social acceptance for years has been weaponised by both the advertising / marketing industry and governments who leverage it to sell products and push narratives or agendas

the Covid-19 hoax would have been virtually impossible to execute on the scale it was if more people were capable of critical thinking

Even though by the end of the hoax so many people were innately aware something was terribly wrong most chose to ignore the alarm bells and to continue with the charade in case they got labelled as "conspiracy theorists" and expelled from their respective herds

Another example .....

Apple has been producing exactly the same products in different colours ,shapes and sizes for the last 15 years why do people keep buying them ? ;)

Without social norms/codes telling/setting standards of how to behave to fellow people there would not be any civilization. That is one of the things that makes the difference between savages and civil people and the animals. For a civilization to work this must be in place and work properly.

Imagine if people behaved the same awful way many do on the internet and did it in the real world?
I would only be wars, murders, fights, neighbors beating up each other etc. all the way.. A total chaotic and lawless society and pure anarchism...

There will always be codes ,as i just said it's inherent in human nature to stay within the safety of the herd

My point was them codes over the years have effectively been hacked and are now actively being used against us in order to manipulate
