I just think if you personalize those messages, like I do, you will get a better response rate.
Exactly, first impressions still count on the net. When you msg with something common like "hey ur hawt, wat's ur SN?", you put yourself in the same category as everyone else. You want to stand out just a little bit, because if you got that msg 20 times a day, no matter what they looked like, would you reply to everyone who asked or just think, oh god another one of them.
