this might be a stupid question but.... what is cross-training?
it depends on what you are trying to accomplishOriginally posted by Boricua_33015
do you guys really mean I shoudl RUN or jog? Ive been JOGGING for the past couple of days in the morning for 15 minutes non-stop. After the 15 minutes is over and I stop, about 15 seconds later I feel like I can do more...... please clear this up for me.
though wht he is talking about is true regarding form, doing crunchies, situps, and othe abs excercises will not give you a 6-packOriginally posted by Microphone Fiend
just find a time that works best 4 u and stick to it. For me, I do 2 sets of 50 crunches right before I get my shower to go to sleep every night. I started out at like 25 a night but after a while your muscles adapt and it isn't as much as a workout.
Things to rememeber when doing sit-ups are:
Use your stomach to lift, NOT your neck-This is how most people mess up. When I do crunches, the key is to try and raise my whole upper body at once, not just in sections, you just have to foucs on using you stomach muscles and conciously tell your mind to use them.
If you think you might be using your neck too much: do crunches with your hands on the back of your neck. If you can feel the muscle in your neck bulge a lot then you know you are doing it wrong. Just focus on your stomach more when doing them. At the end of a set or two you should feel the burn in your stomach, not your neck or arms
