ha ha, this reminds me of trying to post similar responses on another forum. It was a thread dedicated towards single guys and getting girlfriends. Most of the guys who post there are chumps/ nerds. When I post anything advocating self improvement, confidence etc, I usually get neg repped by the guys. The girls are a different story. They'll up rep me, than tell me how hot I am based on pictures from another thread. One even wanted to hang out and we eventually did when I lived in boston.
The point? Women know a winner when they see one. Men know competition when they see it and have to hate on it. Its too contradictory to their weak egos and demented worldviews. Its easier to go on hating people better than ones self rather than jumping both feet into the fire. I recall telling one kid to stop focusing on women and start working out ( I knew him from outside the forum), and he went on to tell me he didn't want to be a frat douchebag like me. He would keep on disagreeing with my point of views even though he couldn't land tail to save his life.
Just a bit of background: I used to post on bodybuilding.com and was pretty bad with women back in the day. A thread came along written by an active community member who gave out solid advice which eventually changed everything for me. I am still grateful to this day and feel that if I can offer the same advice to someone else, than it would all be worthwhile. Even if its only a small percentage of people who actually listen, its still worth it in my book.
