Hello,
I've been reading this forum for some time now.
I met a girl at a friend's party a while back. Now I'm not one to approach females, but her appearance struck me and I went over to talk to her. She was by herself, quietly lurking in the corner. Before I had a chance to say anything to her, she quickly said "No."
This is how the conversation went down basically:
Her: No.
Me: No?
Her: Yes.
Me: I haven't asked you anything.
Her: But I know you want my ss no.
Me: What?! Of course not. No, not at all.
Her: Do you like the food here?
Me: Uhm, its alright
Her: I like a lot of things then (then she winks at me)
Me: Uh. <-- a bit flustered here. That's great, maybe you should give me your #
Her: Which one hmm?
Me: PHONE, not SS haha
Her: Oh I see. I don't have a cell and I don't want to give you my home phone #.
Me. Alright, nice talking.
I walk off and get some punch. Abruptly ending the conversation seemed natural since her mode of speak was also abrupt and disconnected. Either way, I got an odd vibe from her. Not a bad one, just feeling like "uhm, what."
Anyways, I noticed she pretty much stayed in that corner the rest of the night. As I was heading out, the girl earlier came up to me and asked for my number so she could call me. I was on a bit of a tight schedule so I don't ask her why or anything, just gave her my cell and she wrote it down.
She doesn't call me for a week but early Sunday morning (around 8ish) my phone rings and its her. We have an equally obscure discussion as the previous one. By the end of the call she's set up a date. I was literally half asleep and couldn't comprehend half of what she was saying. All I got out of it was I was to meet her at 3 PM at this one park.
I arrive promptly and so does she. We walk for a bit chatting. At one point I realize I don't even know her name so I ask her. I'm naturally expecting her to tell me but she gives me a ****ing NUMBER to address her by. I know all of this sounds ridiculous and it is, so I silently categorize her as eccentric and decided not engage in anything further (which I though was a shame, really gorgeous woman). We got beverages and continued the walk in the park and the date ended. I must admit, she established amazing rapport and I did not feel the need to "entertain" and "not be boring" as I usually do on dates. I also distinctly remember her talking about how much she hated the Federal Reserve.
I don't have her name or number (except the one she called me with which was a pay phone as she explained on the date. Yes, she was using a pay phone at approx 8 AM).
So 4 days ago she calls me from her house after almost 2 weeks of no contact. I want to reject her offer for another date because there's nothing hinting at me getting laid.
I agree under the condition she tells me her name so she's like "ok". Never had that come up before.
We arrange a time and place at a fairground after her insisting I would "ABSOLUTELY LOVE" it. The date went smoothly and now I get a better feel of her: nice, very kind, kinda offbeat, cagey. Now have her home phone.
I'd like to also to add she never once asked for me to pay for any of the food we got on the 2 dates.
I like this girl but I honestly don't know where this is going. I'm getting like, no sexual cues from her but I'm intrigued.
What's your opinion? Do I pursue her?
