This seems to happen everytime, and i'm sure many of you can relate. I'm not ugly or anything, but, it seems that whenever I go out I always manage to get some womens interest, (good eye contact from them, smiling, etc. etc.) but almost everytime, they always seem to be like lacking in the looks department. I have nothing against these girls by any means, but, I just wonder why this is usaully the case. I'd figure they'd be more likely to confide their feelings because of their insecurities compared to a good looking girl who is more confident.

It's reverse....

Good looking girls know they can get most boys they want aslong as the boy isn't a real player/DJ.... Less fortunate girls need to convey their interest to get anything, they lure the insecure boys inn as a fly to a spiders nest.

Not all good looking girls have confidence. I think the okay looking girls approached you because they:

A: have IL with your looks or something
B: you gave them EC
C: you remind them of a friend or a sibling

I get lots of attentions from female strangers too. For example, the cashier at Bestbuy flirt with me, saying I stole her pen so she needs to get my pen and my number. Another time, this girl on the bus asked me for my lucky numbers and my number. Then she touched my ass and squeezed it and winked at me.:D

Yep, your entire model is fvcked up with this one, huge misperception...

" I'd figure they'd be more likely to confide their feelings because of their insecurities compared to a good looking girl who is more confident."

Why is a good-looking girl more confident? Do you have evidence to back this up? And why do you feel 'unattractive' girls are insecure? Maybe the 'unattractive' girls realize that being a good, solid person is more than looks. And that they don't need guys to gawk over them to validate themselves. Maybe they can send you signals and feel confident knowing that you either WILL want them, or you WON'T want them...and hiding behind insecurity isn't going to work in their favor.

Maybe the good-looking girls DO want you but their afraid to put themselves out there because they use evvvvverybody else's perceptions as a guage for her own self-worth. Every person's opinion of her has an effect on her, except for the ONLY one that truely matters, her own.

I'm not saying you're wrong blitz, I agree with what you say. However, it's safe to say that someone who is used to getting dates will be more out going and as opposed to someone who doesn't. I'm not saying there aren't exceptions, because I know many girls who are exceptions and are my friends, however, my point is just usaully, most girls who aren't really considered "attractive" are more likely to not really show their feelings because of past experiences, etc.

Exactly. Good looking chicks dont got that much to fear, while the "Sea Donkies" are mre shy and are less likely to start things due to their fear of doing something wrong.

"someone who is used to getting dates will be more out going and as opposed to someone who doesn't."

You'd think. The problem is that a lot of 'hot' women USE those dates as a scale to measure their own value. So if they get 5, they are pretty damn attractive. But if they get shot down for 2, then their self-esteem PLUMMETS. Beautiful women, especially, do this because since they were young they are used to having the attention. Growing up they EXPECT it and almost depend on it.

Girls who aren't quite as pretty have learned (via the hard way most likely) that being pretty isn't everything. They learn that they can't worry about what other people think of them. They can't impress everybody, or even most people and all they can do is be themselves and be happy and comfortable with that. To do that is most liberating. From there they can enjoy the company of others, and go out on dates and see them as simply getting to know somebody and testing compatibility, rather than a way to tell how 'good of a person' they are.

"are you Jim from sw101.com??"

Yes sir.
