Seems like you made it, despite very though odds, congrats!

BTW how many hours do you work per week for your business?

I wish to start my graphic arts biz as well, i'd like to have a preview of things to come...although i am aware that situations and schedules do differ from person to person based on their needs and goals.

Be prepared for very very late nights. Deadlines are called deadlines for a reason. You do what it takes to get the job done.

Not sure why this got moved to anything else, I posted it in the MM forum for a reason.

That's an inspiration. I like to hear stories like that, it motivates me to work harder.

LOL. I did dash it off in a few seconds. Busy weekend and a house full of kids. Time to get in some work.

Like the old saying goes, No romance without finance. That being said, an old FB is sniffing back around. I guess I'll play with her in the meantime while I continue my work. Time to go shopping and get some new clothes this week!

I'm still working on my debt snowball. I'm fan of Dave Ramsey (http://www.daveramsey.com/). And I was doing it ass backwards.

His debt snowball consist of the following.

1. get caught up on all outstanding (past due) debts first.
2. save $1000 for an emergency fund (less if you are on a lower income such as myself, $500 in my case).
3. Make a zero sum budget, every penny accounted for and applied somewhere.
4. All extra money in your budget goes onto you lowest debt.
5. Pay off the lowest debt first.
6. Take the extra budget money + the cost of the lowest debt and apply it to the next lowest debt.
7. Continue until all debts are paid.

I started at step 3 -5. Until the fire, as I was getting by...so I had to step back to step one and do it right.

Now I'm back up to step 4 with a solid foundation behind me. In a couple of months I should have all of my debts except for my car and college loans sorted. Another 2 years on the car loan will sort that out and then a few years on the college loans if everything goes to plan and I'll be debt free.
I have my emergency fund in place and I'm on step six of my debt snowball. Paid off my lowest debts. Diving into my personal loans and the last of my credit cards now. $1800 left to pay on those, then its tackling my car loan.
