Tell you what, read "When Money Dies"by Adam Fergusson. It's about the Weimar Republic in Germany. The similarities to the US today are staggering. Too much debt, printing money without regard to the consequences bloated federal employment, federal deficit spending? sound familiar? The consequences? read the book,if it doesn't pucker your azzhole, you aren't bright enough to be allowed to live or reproduce.
Another good read is "economics in one lesson" by Henry Hazlitt. It may give you a different perspective than the pablum they pass out in school. You may have to THINK a bit,but it's mostly written at an 8th grade level [in 1946 terms,so most high school grads today should be able to understand it]
America has the leaders the people deserve..... when our people get smarter, our leaders will too. BUT, we need to judge politicians like we judge women...by what they have DONE and DO,not what they SAY.
