Yeah that's some tenuous logic there.

I think we need to learn a lot from Indians regarding family life. This country attaches a lot of importance to moral values. There is no premarital sex. Divorce is very rare. Your wife will be with you throughout your life. You are expected to provide her whatever she needs. The only thing I hate about Indian marriage system is dowry.

Feminism has been exported to India and it's coming from the top down, let's see if it takes root there. Here is their Czar of feminism getting grilled.

Sorry your information is wrong. Premarital sex is very very common, and cheating on spouses is common enough. Hell my granddad is a sugar daddy!! (Im half Indian, and my Indian Granddad has been "dating" his junior lawyer for the past 20 years...he is 95 and she is 45 - all the while my grandma was alive....who passed away recently from dementia...coincidence? Oh and the girlfriend was present for the cremation and mourning). One of my cousins on the Indian side got an arranged marriage to this chick whose mother used to sleep with some senior governmental official for extra money with her husband's consent. Of course this information was known before, but the marriage was still approved by the elders...the monetary windfall was worth it. Another cousin got into a similar arrangement with a chick (extremely wealthy parents) who is highly histrionic and probably suffers from BPD too! His life is a living nightmare. So much for moral values!! The only difference is that in Indian society everyone is a goddamn hypocrite which sort of compels people to put up with huge **** by hiding it under the carpet, or pretending to be the virgin Mary when they are as skanky as the *****s/sluts in certain countries in Eastern Europe. Personally I prefer the *****s/sluts in Eastern Europe - at least you know what you are getting into from the start. Very unhealthy society IMHO.. No respect.

And yes this dowry and arranged marriage sham...that is just socially acceptable gold digging.

To have mutiple sexual partners is one's natural tendency. Marriage is the thing that's unnatural. When I see someone trying to give some sort of excuse for cheating, it's reminiscent of me of someone attempting to explain why they ate food today. Culture, for better or worse, occasionally mandates that someone makes excuses for natural behavior.

Is it possible to fast/not cheat? Sure, but that doesn't make it natural.

I think we'd be better off if our cultural gradually shifted to one where we weren't so hard on ourselves. Self-imposed rules, especially unnatural ones, are often unhealthy in a variety of ways.

If there's any reason to avoid marriage it is probably this; so you don't have to deal with the unnatural restrictions that marriage imposes in our culture.

"The truth is that we're human beings," he says. "We make mistakes and we learn from them, but we're human. We fell in love."

That lesson is what?

I find it odd hearing it from you. Maybe I missed a few posts between here and then (it was years ago, damn, time passes). I remembered you are married (and married young to a girl who actually works for the marriage) and written in a pro-marriage style. Have something changed? My memory is off? Or you have a mistress/just happy despite being unnatural?
