I blew it..Drunken Text to girl of interest is it salvagable?

Rookie Mistake....I know, Basically i sent this girl I am talking to. I sent her a drunken text saying "Not trying to blow a good thing". Well the next day She sent me a response saying "what did that text mean?"

I did not know how to reply i just sent "i have no idea....." and left it at that. Nothing else was said.

After that I haven't called her in days.....I just wish I knew what she thought about that. I bet I blew it to hell...

Has anybody else sent mistaken texts? how did you cover it up?

Not really sure what's so bad about that text or why you haven't called her since.

I think sometimes guys worry too much about saying anything slightly nice or complimentary to women, but if you can say these things with confidence it's not such a bad thing. Nothing wrong with telling her you enjoy the chats.

If you tell her you've got feelings for her or you're in love, then you have a problem.

I send stupid drunk texts to people all the time. Just pretend it never happened. If she brings it up tell her you don't know, play it off by joking about it, maybe say you were drunk testing a friend and accidentally sent it to her.

No big deal.

You're acting like you proposed after the 1st date. You sent a stupid text. Don't acknowledge it, and it will be forgotten. At least until she wants to throw it back in your face months down the road.

Haha, doubt it's a big deal. I've done similar things before. Hell recently I drunk dialed some girl at 3 am. She asked me why I called her the next day and I just lied and said I dialed the wrong number. Had her naked 3 days later.

you have to understand something about women. what we might think isn't a big deal, is acctually a big deal to them. they're like freaking elephants, they NEVER forget. EVER. i sent this girl i was talking to a drunk text one night and said "i saw you are back together with your ex huh?" because i KNOW i saw her at the bar with her hex but she didnt see me. she blew up at me and hasnt spoken to me since. that was 5 years ago and when she sees me she will give me an evil look, wont accept my friend request i sent her once on facebook. all it was over was that one text. i didnt argue with her after she blew up at me either, i just ignored her.

you will find (as DJ Robert above did) that IF... they want an excuse to distance themselves from you, they will grasp at anything you say, and use it.

On the other hand, if they are into you, they will laugh off a stupid drunk text here and there. forget it, and go from there.

When she said, "What did that text mean?", she might have wanted you to elaborate and say more positive things about the relationship or about her. Of course, you don't want to do that.

My point is that without context it's impossible to know whether her question was posed in a positive or a negative sense. Like the other guys said, forget about it and carry on.
