ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
When I first came to this board, I had hopes of finding a brotherhood of alpha males dedicated to lifting each other up, helping each other to be not only better with women but to be better men on the whole. I expected to find a community of brethren, diverse in membership but united by purpose.
Now everywhere I turn, this realm is disintigrating into personal squabbling and unnecessary flaming. What was once and supposed to be the exchange of knowledge and experience has now become a clash of egos and petty rivalries. To each his own.
There is a pointless and pathetic struggle being waged for 'respect' and status with certain parties trying to enhance their own alpha status by tearing down others, whether they deserve criticism or not.
I was reading through Shezzler's 10,000 countdown post and was astonished and dismayed by the downright cattiness and *****iness there displayed on ALL sides, degenerating into racism, culture bashing and all sorts of ugly prejudices and personal attacks the likes of which I have never seen here before. Stop the backstabbing and infighting and hair-pulling, that is not what we are here for.
I only joined this board in July 2005, yet I have heard all these lamenting posts "Oh where oh where has our beloved Pook and terminator911 and Anti-Dump gone? Those were the glory days."
I say to you now that those who left left because they outgrew this place. They learned all they could learn, shared all they could, and moved on. And . if this board is to be a place that intelligent minds can take seriously, then it must have some vestige of class and maturity.
1) It is exceedingly dishonorable to allow petty squabbles to occupy entire pages of a post
Personal differences should be sorted out between individuals since mud slinging is of no informative value, and the development of factions with some siding with others against their brethren is destructive.
2) If you have nothing constructive to say, or if your words are empty and inflammatory, remain silent. This is a place of learning and sharing and must be respected accordingly.
3) Racial slang, derogatory ethnic or country-based attacks, are not to be tolerated. I should not have to defend this.
4) Redundant tips that can be found in the DJ Bible should be treated as plaigarism. Before you post your next brilliant thesis, or ask an inane question that has been raised many times before, search. Newbies, that means you.
Cease the empty macho-talk and the cave-man gruntings. We all have mothers. All women are not *****es. There is nothing alpha about sexism and she-bashing. I suspect that we are nursing potential wife-beaters here, and we must remain balanced and grounded in reality.
