Thinking about getting into this series because it may have some substance. Any thoughts on the possible themes in the books and ideas about the main characters. I was not buying into the Harry Potter saga because it was mostly bubble gum themes and plot elements. I'm sure some of you may agree with me on this one.

It's a pretty good series, and each book is a very quick read.

Some of themes that I liked in the book are:

How disconnected we are from other people because of reality shows. It's like we don't really care about their problems because they are on TV.

The wealthy people who have fashionable clothing, expensive houses, and nice food while the people outside of the capital are poor and struggling so they can provide the capital with food and resources. Reminds of the US vs the third world countries.

It shows how tyrannical government can be and how they use media as propaganda.

It's a good series overall.

I enjoyed the series, but the stupid ass romantic undertones kind of killed it for me. I love the political undertones and message about media, but BLEH at the stupid twilight, AFC bullpoop it tried to peddle. Decent read, but be prepared to roll your eyes in certain moments.

You know this series reminds me of a book I read in gradeschool. Everyone in the class despised this book. The theme is Utopia. And in this perfect society no one has names. They are only numbers. Also what they do in this society is determined by a court system. Either way you are doomed to mediocraty and totalitarian government. The character in this book starts with a 5 and a couple of letters in it. The book is online if any of you guys are into masochism.

wasn't utopia written by thomas more in the 1500s? the same thomas more from the church that king henry the eighth put to death for treason because he would not bow down to the new queen anne boelyn when king henry set his first wife aside and estranged himself with the roman catholic church in order to set himself at the head of the church of england?

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

He was talking about the book Anthem, which had a collectivist utopian theme until the main character started to think for himself.

I watched the movie. Basically events take place in future USA after the collapse and civil war (presumably between government and the truth movement). In this new world communities of people are divided and there is a clear presence of communist government, because people are being food rationed. Plus there is the new greeny agenda, as it is illegal to hunt.

So anyway, in Roman style they hold gladiator games each year. People from the ghetto are stored inside concentration camps, without food, and from each ghetto community 2 teens or children are chosen. They bring them to a gladiator arena where they have to kill each other, the one that survives the last, gets to live - later we find out that it is a scam.

Basically sh`t is consistent with the sicko lucifirian secret society agenda. People with power, the elite, control the ghetto and slowly genocide it via hunger.

I wouldn't spend a dime on the movie or the books, because that's supporting the author, who is clearly a member of secret society.

On sercret societies. The only ones I know of are those that conduct themselves as phrats. They go through rituals all fueled by an AFC agenda. They are easily toppled. I can relate to this book because after Katrina people conducted themselves in the same manner. The elite are not in power as they were 30 years ago.

Come on. Driver shot Kennedy in front of all those people, it all got blamed on patsy shooter, ridiculous because he did not have the line of sight, then all the witnesses mysteriously die.

They crashed planes into towers, and two buildings that got hit, plus one that did not get hit fall down demolition style from a fire. In plain sight you've been told like a moron that a caveman did it.

They brought down Gaddafi and now taking down Assad, in plain sight, via the Al Qaeda sh`t that they created themselves.

They print money using a private corporation, and that money controls the whole world.

They control the media, and subliminally you do what they want, you think how they want you to think, you dress how they want you to dress, you eat what they want you to eat.

Secret societies have no power?

For me they have all the power in this world. Saddle, but powerful power. Don't like a regime? No need to blow up it up directly, they can just start rebel movements that will take down the regime. Don't like your ass? Why kill you? Why not sedate you via chemicals in your food and water, make you dumber, make you die slowly from cancer and mental illness. Make your point of view uncool and you outcast. WHY NOT MAKE YOUR DUMB ASS THINK THAT NOT HAVING CHILDREN IS COOL?

Nobody listens to crazy people. But everyone know there is no such thing as normal.

Let's get one thing straight here. Saddam was a tyrant who got his hand stuck in the cookie jar. Now as for one of our previous presidents that was assasinated. None of us were alive at that time to understand the climate we were in at the time. If anything caught up to him was a gang that was behind his assasination. That is my theory on his end. And it probably involved his own allies. Also I may know this Corporation you speak of, they are Italians. One more thing if there's anyone behind the media and subliminal messages it's a DJ. I'm going to pick up a copy of Men's Journal later on today and have my years cigar. Leave your conspiracy theories in college.

If you are into what is going on today. I would recommend Decision Points by George W. Bush

the average IQ is 100, and a 100 IQ person can barely get piss out of a boot, if the instructions are printed on the heel of the boot and you TELL them to look there for the instructions. :) so what level of "intelligence' you think that those UNDER 100 IQ have, hmm?
