Bungo Pony
Master Don Juan
This tip is about a very popular game, a game that many men and women play when they want to find out information about someone, but don't want to confront that person directly. These curious people send a friend to find out the answers.
All of us at one time or another have dealt with these people. For the purpose of this tip, let's say the person who has the questions is named Hillary and she wants to find out information from you. Hillary's too shy to approach you. So she sends a friend of hers to ask the questions.
Now, you get approached by her friend who asks "Hillary wants to know what you think of her". I call these people Human Communication Devices (HCDs). They are the people who ask you questions that someone else SHOULD be asking, but for whatever reason, they got their friend to do it.
There are 2 ways to deal with HCDs.
1) You can answer the questions honestly. Example: "I think Hillary's OK". HCDs always have follow up questions. The problem with being honest is the HCD isn't going to deliver your answer back to Hillary. Your answers are going to be analyzed by the HCD, and her analysis is going to be delivered to Hillary. It might be positive or negative. If the HCD says "He really likes you!" then Hillary's IL might drop. If the HCD says "Well, he said you're OK, but he didn't seem to enthusiastic when he answered". Then of course Hillary's IL may go up. You basically get a 50/50 chance of this working.
Personally, I like 100% chances.
2) You can terminate the HCD. Examples: "I really don't think it's any of your business", "I know what you're trying to do", "I'm not answering you". What you're basically doing is confronting the HCD on what she's doing rather than letting the HCD deliver an analysis to Hillary. YOU MUST STAND YOUR GROUND! Don't give into the HCD's pleas for an answer. DO NOT say anything about the person who sent the HCD. Deal with the HCD directly.
When you deal with the HCD directly, you catch her off guard and throw her into confusion. When HCDs are in this state, they may end up leaking some information which is of course to your benefit. The answer (or analysis) that Hillary's going to get is "He didn't give me an answer!" Now, Hillary's curiousity goes up and so does her IL.
This is indirectly being mysterious.
Usually, you know that a woman has high IL in your when she sends her friend to find out information. After you're aware that she's curious about you, you need to get your ass out there and ask that girl for a date.
Also, I wouldn't recommend that DJs use the HCD method of finding out if a girl likes you. It looks incredibly weak if you don't have the confidence to go find out for yourself.
