In college and I went out for coffee with this girl I met at a party. Went well I thought so I texted her 2 days after and asked her to see a performance with me. She made an excuse and I asked her to a play and she said she was also busy. Finally I asked if she was free for dinner and she made another excuse so I ignored her and didn't reply(I don't see her ever). A week passes by and she sends me a long text saying that she had fun with me at coffee and wants to see me again but she isn't ready for anything romantic since she's still fxking her ex and another guy, which I found out from another source. How should I approach this text? I was thinking about coming up with something ****y to respond with.

Don't even bother my man. Right now your pissed off like the rest of us would be. But I will tell you now, the moment you respond (no matter what you say) she will have the upper hand. She's clearly not interested in you and I wouldn't even bother giving her the time of day. Next her, go ghost, and absolutely delete her number.

You don't.

There are a thousand other girls on your campus who don't have any baggage from their ex or have gotten over their ex. Don't waste your time with this one. Delete her number, texts and go out there and get with other more interested girls.

You say something like: "I agree you didn't seem like my type, maybe we can still be friends."

If you developed attraction prior to this encounter, which I'm assuming you have, by telling her that "maybe" you'll be friends implies that you did the rejecting instead of her. This will most likely drive her nuts. This will also create a "chance," which I'm assuming is what you want, to get something out of this chick in the future. The first line is classic reverse psychology, works quite often. You now have regained the upper hand by the way.

Then go ghost and talk to other girls.

What women say does not reflect on what they feel, just listen to the advices above.

Is there a more polite way of saying this? I don't want to come off as a **** as I have a stellar reputation to uphold in college.

However long she took to respond wait the same exact time add a day to that time and respond with "Aite" or "cool" if you still want to waste time with her. If not respond with "nah" or "nah I'm good", nothing more. One word replies after a long delay pisses them off and shows them you don't care and have other things going on. Usually girls that suggest friendship or talking fail to keep up with that on their end.

No shıt test here, homey, this is a girl who has low interest and doesn't know what she wants. Don't let the be an attraction factor for you, but a repellant. I'd answer with 'lol' just for shıts and giggles.

You'd say this to a girl who made you feel like a jackass? Why? Hey OP, put your dignity ahead of your reputation. Once it gets out that girls can walk all over you your reputation will suffer. Sometimes it's better to say nothing rather than sounding like a fool.
