HS Tip: Get a cell phone

I don't mean to actually talk on. That's way too expensive. I have a pre-paid phone, and I use maybe 20-30 minutes per month. What a cell phone is really good for is getting numbers.

I used to think it didn't make that much difference whether you had a cell phone or a pen a paper. Well, it does. Here's why

1. A lot of the time, when you write a # down on paper you lose it.
2. You also never remember to carry a pen and paper with you everywhere, but it's natural to grab your cell every time you go out.
3. A pencil pokes you in the leg, and pens tend to explode in your pockets. Especially if you bring them to the gym
4. It just feels much more natural to type a number into your cell, as opposed to writing it in a notebook or something.
5. Girls can be amused for hours with the retarded little games on a cell phone. Useful to eliminate noisy c0ckblocking warpigs.

Also, it's good to have in case you get a flat or some other emergency.

You paid/pay money for petty little things like that?? ANd about having it just to get number...thats kinda retarded. They actually come in handy to talk on if you have people to even call you or to call. I used to hardly use mine and now i cant leave my house without it. Text messaging is fun too. And its NOT way to expensive.

You know something, buddy. I used to do that with everyone's numbers and it worked perfectly for me. But showing of your memory won't help your game. First of all, its weird for the other person, their is a difference between having their number and having it committed to memory, the second can be a little scaring. Furthermore, it seems unnatural to the other. While writing it down allows them to write their name in their squigly handwriting, hand you the paper, and smile. Telling you their number will make them feel somewhat uncomfortable if what you're doing is committing it to memory. So I'm going to have to agree, get a Cell, a prepaid if that's the best you can do, but do it and get numbers. Or at least by a ƒucking pen. Memorizing numbers is great for your buddies, not great for your dates.

i dont have one. why? if i need to use one and i'm out of the house, theres a 90% chance i'm with a friend who has one. if i'm at home i don't need one anyway.

Yeah, there are some nice tracfones out there. I have a Motorola, and it's pretty sweet. The minutes are pretty damn expensive, so if you plan to talk a lot it's not worth it.

You could get a monthly plan, but they are way too expensive in my opinion. If you have plenty of $$$, go for it, but for me working 2 days a week it's not worth it.

I still think it's worth the money for a tracfone just because you NEVER have pen and paper when you need them. You think you're going to bring them every time you're going to go out, but it doesn't happen that way.

And Noc, you're going to look pretty weird saying "Give me your number, I'll just type it in, uh, my friend's cell phone here..."

Cell phones are good for being spontaneous and making plans on a whim. Plus a girl will be more willing to call, since it's a direct line to you (most of the time).

Get one if you can, they're nice comoditties to have if you have the cash.
