How would you react to a woman who lied about how many sex partners she's been with?

You're dating that HB 8+ for last 4 months. When you first met, she says she had "intercourse" once before you.

Then after 4 months, she kinda blurts that she's had "intercourse" only once, but oral sex with 5 different guys where mutual her going down/him going down occured.

Are you upset, or, do you let the oral sex slide?

How about if the senerio was changed from oral sex to intercourse with 5 different guys, when she originally told you one?

My experience and from this board I have learned that it will bother you forever, what you need to do is let it go. You CANNOT change the past, in fact don't even question it, it will eat you alive.

The past is the past, let the future tell the tale of your relationship not what has already happened.

FYI - I was with a woman who had had sex with over 25 guys before the age of 19. In fact in a 3 year gap she was split up the middle all those times. Man I wish I would of just not known!!

Knowing that fact that she had been with atleast one person is WAY to much!

I have to disagree about the past not being important.

Let me qualify that by saying: A woman (or man's) past is only important if you want a LTR with them. Humans are creatures of habit, and we can predict someone's behavior by their habits. So if a woman has made it a habit to be with many men in a short span of time, then she probably would not be stable for a LTR because she will continue that habit. Contrawise, if she had few partners because she's always in a LTR then we could predict her future relationships will probably be in the context of a LTR.

What I'm saying is: our past predicts our future, and not just for relationships either but for everything. For example: people who do bad in school during their early years generally continue to do bad throughout all their years in school.

Does this mean: once a loser always a loser?

No certainly not, people can change -- that's what this web site is about. But we have to be realistic here, most people don't change, and the cynical voice in the back of my head warns me off when it comes to people and their bad habits. I don't want to listen to that voice, but it's too often right for me to just ignore it anymore. Maybe it's not cynicism, just realism that I don't want to accept.

So yeah, I think a woman's past does matter (but only for a LTR); because it's our actions that defines our character. In a LTR character does matter -- the last thing anyone needs is to get jerked around by someone they care about. Someone may want to say that our sexual habits and our character are not the same thing, and they are right: our sexual habits are only one small part of someone's overall character.

Of course if your goal is just to put your **** in her, then ignore my post.

Uh dude...She didn't lie. She said she only had intercourse with one person both times. Did you ask her about oral before? I see no harm in that...Now if she changes it to having slept with 5 guys...That could be a problem, especially if you follow the rule of three.

All the reasons you should keep your partners a secrete. I would just make a guy get an AIDS test if I want LTR (to decide whether using just the pill is safe) that all I want to know. Whether the person is promiscious, your intuition should lead to how faithful a person is likely to be by checking whether they are a flirt or over confident with themselves. These are big clues without knowing their sexual history.
