Sup guys, i got a question.....What will you look like if you just bulk for 1 whole year straight? Like, will you just end up looking fat rather than muscular? I know you will have a lot of muscle, but will you have a lot of fat covering all those muscles up?

THANKS!

it depends on several variables... i'm a meso-ectomorph and i don't gain ANY fat... if i bulked HEAVY for a year straight, working out in the proper manner 2-3 times a week, eating everything in sight, i'd probably go from 150 to 180 or so, but my bodyfat would be under 14%

do you have any fat on you or are you skinny to the bones?
how tall are you and how much do you weigh?
how old are you?

why would you want to bulk for one year is the question? If anything you should bulk from Sept-Jan and then cut from Jan-Sept. Thats what i do, like right now i still have left over summer abs but by Dec. they def. will be covered up.

If you bulked for a full year i think it would be unhealthy and you would look fat. Right now my diet is 4000 calories during my cutting diet it'll go down to 2500 calories.

If muscle gain and fat gain is your goal, do a 4000 calorie diet. The key is to gain as much muscle as possible while gaining never little fat. Its possible to do both at the same time but very hard.

Eating 4000 calories alone takes a lot of time....4000 calories with REAL food, no supplement shyt. I drive a lot between my house and school, so i normally eat while im driving to save time. Or i eat while im studying for exams.

Good luck with your weight lifting future. Ur only 15 remember that. You arent going to put much size on. I didnt get good gains until i hit about 20. Now im like a huge statue.

with ending it at may...does that leave you enough time to have ur beach body ready?

The only thing is when you cut to fast you will lose muscle. Given the amount of time i have starting in jan,i dont fear losing muscle.

depends how you eat, how you train, and how you look now, and no one can predict all that.

Did i mention that this question is so vague and unpredictable that it sounds like the poster is a troll ?

luckily, i don't gain almost any fat... let's say that during those 8 months of bulk, i go from 8% to 11-12% of bodyfat, so it's pretty easily to cut down to under 10% in a month or so...

Has it occurred to anyone that if they bulk for six months and cut for six months, they just wasted a whole half a year of lifting, and that if they'd just been intelligent with diet and cardio, they could've been packing on size and strength for twelve months straight, while keeping the same bodyfat or even lowering it?

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Why take 2 steps forward and then 1.5 steps backward? If you eat right, you should never have to cut.

Just been browsing this forum and it seems everyone wants to both 'bulk-up' and 'cut-up' at the same time. Well, from experience, here's something that works, if you have the time and the b*lls:

Find a 100 metre track/field, preferably with a nice big hill.
Sprint (and I mean sprint not run fast) 100 metres.
Jog 200 metres.
Repeat 5 times.

Walk slowly back to start again.
Sprint (and I mean sprint not run fast) 100 metres.
Jog 50 metres.
Walk 50 metres
Repeat 4 times.

Walk slowly back to start again.
Sprint (and I mean sprint not run fast) 100 metres.
Walk 100 metres.
Repeat 3 times.

You'll probably be close to throwing up at this stage. Take a 5 minute break. Find the nice hill. Sprint to the top, jog back down. Repeat 3 times. Take a 200 metre jog. Repeat the hill sprints.

Take a 5 minute break. Then finish off with some nice hard 50 metre sprints, maybe 3 just to really get the juice flowing. You'll find that this is almost easy.

Now this is NOT for beginners. You have to be in ok shape already or you will likely kill yourself. You need to have a base of sorts to work from. If you think you're hard do 5 sets for everything, that's the eventual goal. If you warm up first with a few sprint drills (search the web) every time you'll get faster and the drills will seem a bit easier.

The benefits:
Extreme cardio-vascular stress means you get fitter.
Putting the muscles under maximum exertion (ie sprinting) boosts testosterone levels - we should all know the benefits of this.
Adding a weight training regime as well means the muscles fully utilise the body's increased testosterone production. You will get stronger.
Putting the body under such stress will mean you will be burning calories for hours afterwards.

My tip, don't be so concerned about the look. If you're getting fitter, faster and stronger and your diet is good - the results will take care of themselves.
