NorwegianDJ hit the nail on the head. Not being needy comes from having other options. Make it clear to her that she's not the only one who likes you. Show interest in the fact that you enjoy her company and would like to get to know her better, but she should still know that it's her privilage to be talking to you. Not the other way around.
